    Sir Edward Youde Memorial Award Schemes 2020/21 (Deadline: 28 September 2020)

    The Sir Edward Youde Memorial Award Schemes are now open for applications from students of the eight UGC-funded institutions. The different categories of awards are as follows:


    1) Fellowships for Postgraduate Research Students
    2) Scholarships for Undergraduate and Diploma Students
    3) Fellowship for Disabled Students
    4) Scholarship for Disabled Students

    Hong Kong Association of University Women (HKAUW) Postgraduate & Undergraduate Scholarships 2020-2021 (Deadline: 16 Oct 2020)

    The HKAUW Postgraduate Scholarships aim at recognising and encouraging female postgraduates who conduct high quality original research that are of significant value to our society and to the body of knowledge. Successful candidates should also demonstrate leadership in team work, achievements in their chosen disciplines through research and practice, and involvement in community service. Each HKAUW Postgraduate Scholarship recipient will receive a Certificate of Award and HK$20,000. The Hong Kong Baptist University will nominate five postgraduate students for HKAUW's consideration and selection.

     

    The HKAUW Undergraduate Scholarships aim at recognising and encouraging female students with exceptional academic attainments and active involvement in community service. Each HKAUW Undergraduate Scholarship recipient will receive a Certificate of Award and HK$5,000. The Hong Kong Baptist University will nominate two undergraduate students for HKAUW's consideration and selection.

    Fee Waiver for Values Education Certificate Programme 2020/21 (Deadline: 7 Oct 2020)

    The Hong Kong International Institute of Educational Leadership (“HKIIEL”) is pleased to offer 2 HKBU students to attend the Values Education Certificate Programme (VEC001, VEC002 and VEC003) for free in the academic year 2020/21. Without the tuition fee waiver, the 3 courses are valued at $4,500 in total. However, please note that NO money is awarded to the recipient (these are free lessons). The awarded students will take part in a series of Values Education Certificate courses offered by HKIIEL in collaboration with Lingnan University. The said Programme will enable the students to integrate values into their personal growth and career.The programme is open for application now, please click here for more information.

    HKSAR Government Scholarship 2020/21  (Deadline: 25 Sep 2020)

    Each year, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government offers scholarships to gifted and/or academically outstanding full-time undergraduate students studying in any discipline (UGC-funded programmes only) at the Hong Kong Baptist University. 

    For 2020/21, the number of scholarships available for application are as follows: 
    - 8 scholarships for local students who are in Year-2 in 2020/21 (admitted in 2019/20)
    - 2 scholarships for non-local students who are in Year-2 in 2020/21 (admitted in 2019/20) and are NOT receiving admission scholarships

    Each scholarship is valued at HK$40,000 per year for local students and HK$80,000 per year for non-local students.  The scholarship is tenable for the entire normative study years of the recipient subject to satisfactory academic performance at the University (annual average GPA of 3.00 or above).

    The Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarship 2020/21  (Deadline: 25 Sep 2020)

    The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust aims to identify and groom outstanding talents to become leaders who will create positive change and inspire society to strive for excellence. Since 1998, some HK$500 million were awarded to more than 750 young talents to support their undergraduate studies. More information is available on this website: http://jcscholarships.hk/. For 2020/21, five scholarships (four for local students including one with special educational needs and one for non-local Mainland students) are available for HKBU undergraduate degree students.

     

    Each full scholarship covers tuition fee, academic expenses and living costs for the entire normal length of study towards an undergraduate degree programme. The value of each award is at HK$112,300 each year for local students and HK$210,200 each year for Mainland students.
