「義」遊同行 Serve-cation 2022-23

Background

Are you looking for more diverse experiential learning opportunities outside Hong Kong? With the travel limitations lifted, you now have the opportunities to explore the world and connect the local people by providing service.   

In order to nurture students’ global citizenship, two service & study trips to Chiang Mai, Thailand and Bali, Indonesia will be organised by Leadership Qualities Centre for students to explore the world. A series of pre-trip workshops and preparatory meetings will be provided to equip students with necessary skills and knowledge for the overseas exposure.

During the trip to Bali or Chiang Mai, you will be provided experiential learning opportunities in areas of tradition culture, ecology and biodiversity guided by local residents and provided with opportunities to serve the local community. After the trip, you will be required to share your learnings and reflections to HKBU community.

- Bali Service & Study Trip: 20 quotas

- Chiang Mai Service & Study Trip: 20 quotas

Screening Interview

Fees

- Bali Service & Study Trip: HK$3,000/person 

- Chiang Mai Service & Study Trip: HK$2,800/person 

Costs include round trip flight ticket, accommodation and activities arranged by LQC.

Offer will be made to succesful applicants after completion of screening interview. Successful applicants are required to settle the fees to accept the offer. All paid fees are non-refundable. 

Important Notes

Succesful Applicants must fulfill the vaccination and travel requirements (if any) as required by the concerned country and bear own costs of visa application (if applicable).
