The Scholarship was set up with donations raised by the Village CARE Campaign in 2019. A group of HKBU alumni pledged a sum donation in support of students with special educational needs (SSEN). The Scholarship represents a way to show the alumni’s gratitude to their alma mater, an encouragement for the next generation of students to thrive in their own way.
For the 2021/22 academic year, up to 10 AGS of HK$15,000 each will be available to recognize the SSEN in pursuit of excellence in academic, non-academic merits and improvement in academic performance. The scholarship is now open for application, please click here for more details.

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government has established the Endeavour Merit Award (EMA) to give recognition to deserving post-secondary students with special educational needs (SSEN) in the pursuit of excellence in academic and other areas.
For the 2021/22 academic year, up to 9 EMA of HK$15,000 each will be available for eligible HKBU students. Please clilck here for more details.

AIA Foundation offers scholarships to local Year 1 students who are studying at Hong Kong universities every year. For academic year 2021/22, there are 8 awards for HKBU students. Up to 16 eligible candidates will be nominated for final selection by AIA Foundation.
The AIA Scholarship is designed to finance an awardee’s tuition fees. The value of each AIA Scholarship will be HK$50,000 per annum, payable each year during the awardee’s undergraduate programme. It is anticipated that most applicants will be undertaking a four year undergraduate programme. However, subject to the Foundation’s absolute discretion, students nominated by the University who are enrolled in 5 or 6 year undergraduate programmes will be entitled to receive an AIA Scholarship for each year of their nominated undergraduate programme (subject to satisfaction of the Scholarship Renewal Criteria).

Admission Scholarship Scheme for Outstanding South and South East Asian Ethnic Minority Students (EMSS) (for new students admitted to HKBU in 2022/23)28 OCT 2021 - 31 MAR 2022
To increase the access to University education for qualified students from traditionally under-represented Hong Kong communities, and to broaden the horizons of all students at HKBU through cross-cultural interactions, Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) has been offering the Admission Scholarship Scheme for Outstanding South and South East Asian Ethnic Minority Students (EMSS) since 2017/18, for deserved local ethnic minority students who are admitted to full-time UGC-funded undergraduate degree programmes via JUPAS or non-JUPAS.
For 2022/23, the Scholarship will be funded by Village CARE Campaign under the title of “HKBU Village CARE Campaign Admission Scholarship Scheme for Outstanding South and South East Asian Ethnic Minority Students”.

HKBU Elite Athletes Admission Scheme (EAAS) has been established by HKBU to award local elite athletes who are admitted to full‐time UGC‐funded undergraduate degree programmes offered by the University via JUPAS or non‐JUPAS. Eligible applicants should have sport talent and achieved outstanding results in sport at admission. The scholarships are renewable for up to 4 years subject to the students’ academic results, good progress in sport training and performance as well as contributions to the Sport Leadership Programme.
