Admission Scholarship Scheme for Outstanding South and South East Asian Ethnic Minority Students (EMSS) (for new students admitted to HKBU in 2021/22)02 NOV 2020 - 31 MAR 2021
HKBU Admission Scholarship Scheme for Outstanding South and South East Asian Ethnic Minority Students (EMSS) was established to award outstanding local ethnic minority students who are admitted to full-time UGC-funded undergraduate degree programmes offered by the University via JUPAS or non-JUPAS. At least one parent of the applicant should report an ethnic heritage from one of the designated South and Southeast Asian countries. Selection criteria include academic potential, financial needs, participation in community service and extra-curricular activities, leadership qualities, goals and desire to contribute to society, as well as other talents or non-academic achievements.

To promote the development of the self-financing post-secondary sector, the Self-financing Post-secondary Scholarship Scheme (SPSS) is set up by the HKSAR Government under the Self-financing Post-secondary Education Fund to offer scholarships and awards to students pursuing full-time Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) in Accountancy (BCom Accountancy) programme at HKBU. For the 2020/21 academic year, there are four types of scholarships offered under the Scheme for the BCom Accountancy programme:
1) Outstanding Performance Scholarship (OPS) (application is closed for OPS)
2) Talent Development Scholarship (TDS) ((application is closed for TDS)
3) Reaching Out Award (ROA)
4) Best Progress Award (BPA)

Note: In the event of unforeseeable circumstances, such as extreme weather, that resulted in the sudden closure of SFA Counter on the day of the deadline, SFA will extend the deadline of application to 5:30pm of the following working day.

Jointly sponsored and supported by the Innovation and Technology Commission and HSBC, the Innovation and Technology Scholarship was established to provide outstanding undergraduates of Hong Kong the opportunities to widen their international exposure, gaining industry experience, and nurture their passion and commitment toward science and technology. Twenty-five science undergraduates, to be nominated by the Presidents / Vice-Chancellors of local universities and selected by an Awardee Selection Committee, will each be awarded a scholarship of up to HKD150,000 for a series of learning programmes, including Overseas or Mainland Attachment Programme, Mentorship Programme, Local Internship Programme and Service Project Programme.
