    Election of Student Members to the Senate 2024/2025 (UG  – BUS, COMM, SCA, SCE, SCI, SCM and RPg Election)

    The Election of Student Members to the Senate 2024/2025 (UG[1] – BUS, COMM, SCA, SCE, SCI, SCM and RPg Election) will be held in March 2024.


    [1] As the proposal to consolidate the Faculty of Arts (ART) and Faculty of Social Sciences (SOSC) was passed in the Senate on 15 January, a new faculty would possibly be formed and implemented on 1 July upon the deliberation and approval of the Council. To avoid confusion, the election of the undergraduate student representatives for ART and SOSC would not be taken place in this exercise. It would however be arranged in September 2024 when further details of the new faculty are confirmed.

    Sir Robert Black Trust Fund Postgraduate Scholarships aims to provide opportunities for people of exceptional merit, who have demonstrated their potential to serve the community through the qualities of personal leadership, to develop their initiative and character, so that they may acquire greater social usefulness. Priority will therefore be given to candidates of proven ability and experience in fields which have a significant impact on community life, e.g. medical studies, journalism, social work, education, arts, politics, sciences, etc.

    University of Bristol Post-Graduate Scholarship for 2024-25 (Deadline: 18 March 2024)

    The Hong Kong Branch of the Bristol University Alumni Association is offering a scholarship to a suitably qualified student from Hong Kong going to Bristol for post-graduate studies in the academic year commencing in September 2024. The Scholarship will be available in conjunction with a postgraduate Master’s degree programme in any field of study with maximum programme length of two years, and is intended to assist with tuition fees payable to the University, up to a maximum of £15,000 per programme.     Admission Scholarship Scheme for Outstanding South and South East Asian Ethnic Minority Students (EMSS) - for new students admitted in 2024-25 (Deadline: 31 March 2024)

    To increase the access to University education for qualified students from traditionally under-represented Hong Kong communities, and to broaden the horizons of all students at HKBU through cross-cultural interactions, Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) has been offering the Admission Scholarship Scheme for Outstanding South and South East Asian Ethnic Minority Students (EMSS) since 2017/18, for deserved local ethnic minority students who are admitted to full-time UGC-funded undergraduate degree programmes.

     

    For the 2024 entry, the Scholarship will be funded by Village CARE Campaign under the title of “HKBU Village CARE Campaign Admission Scholarship Scheme for Outstanding South and South East Asian Ethnic Minority Students”.
