    With the generous donations made by the Tsim Sha Tsui District Kai Fong Welfare Association, Tsim Sha Tsui District Kai Fong Welfare Association Admission Scholarship Scheme for Outstanding South and South East Asian Ethnic Minority Students (EMSS) has been established to award outstanding local ethnic minority students who are admitted to full-time UGC-funded undergraduate degree programmes offered by the University via JUPAS or non-JUPAS. At least one parent of the applicant should report an ethnic heritage from one of the designated South and Southeast Asian countries. Selection criteria include academic potential, financial needs, participation in community service and extra-curricular activities, leadership qualities, goals and desire to contribute to society, as well as other talents or non-academic achievements.

     

    The application deadline for both JUPAS and Non-JUPAS applicants for 2018/19 intake has been extended to 31 January 2018, please click here for more details.

    The Reaching Out Award (ROA) was established by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government to equip students with an international vision, broaden their exposure to multicultural environment and enhance their communication skills. The HKSAR Government Reaching Out Award 2017/18 is now open for application, please click here for more information.

     

    Note: In the event of unforeseeable circumstances, such as extreme weather, that resulted in the sudden closure of SFA Counter on the day of the deadline, SFA will extend the deadline of hard copy application form submission to 5:30pm of the following working day. However, the online application platform will close as scheduled, and no extension will be offered.

    第一代大學生基金第二輪申請 (2017-18年度)  Second Round of First-Generation University Student Fund (FGF) 2017-18

    To help unlock precious opportunities for BU’s first-generation local undergraduates to participate in diverse outside-of-classroom learning activities and develop in an all-rounded manner, HKBU has established the “First-Generation University Student Fund”.  Successful applicants will receive up to $15,000 for participating in different outside-of-classroom learning activities during their studies at HKBU.

     

    First-Generation University Student Fund 2017/18 is currently open for its second round of application. Please click here for more details. Closing date of second round application: 31 March 2018*.
    *This is the last round of application in Academic Year 2017/18. Don’t miss out or you will get a lower amount of subsidy offered next year!

     

    An information session will be held at 4:00pm of 26 January 2018 (Friday) at AAB 402A in which more details about the fund will be introduced. Eligible Students who are interested in applying for the fund should attend. Please register here if you would like to attend the information session.

    Overseas and Local Arts Administration Scholarships 2018

    Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) is launching two scholarship schemes, namely “Local Arts Administration Scholarships 2018” and “Overseas Arts Administration Scholarships 2018”, to support promising local arts administrators to further their studies in Hong Kong and abroad in order to strengthen their professionalism. Both schemes are supported by the funding from the Home Affairs Bureau. The scholarships are open for application now, please click here for more information
