    EDPS Innovation Scholarship Program 2023-24 (Deadline: 30 April 2024)

    The EDPS Innovation Scholarship Program is open for application now. A total of 80 scholarships will be offered in the next 4 academic years (AY2023-AY2027; 20 scholarships for each year) to undergraduate students in their last year of college with a major in IT/Computer Science to recognize their academic accomplishments.

     

    Applicants shall include innovative projects using emerging technologies in the following areas:

    • Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
    • Blockchain, FinTech & Web3
    • Cyber Security
    • Digital Infrastructure and Digital Transformation
    • Metaverse & Extended Reality (AR, VR & MR)

     

    Applicants who are a full-time student and enrolled in one of the universities in Hong Kong can be considered for the Individual Scholarships and the Group Scholarships, which the Individual Scholarships will be HKD$20,000 and the Group Scholarships will be HKD$30,000.

    Admission Scholarship Scheme for Outstanding South and South East Asian Ethnic Minority Students (EMSS) - for new students admitted in 2024-25 (Deadline: 31 March 2024)

    To increase the access to University education for qualified students from traditionally under-represented Hong Kong communities, and to broaden the horizons of all students at HKBU through cross-cultural interactions, Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) has been offering the Admission Scholarship Scheme for Outstanding South and South East Asian Ethnic Minority Students (EMSS) since 2017/18, for deserved local ethnic minority students who are admitted to full-time UGC-funded undergraduate degree programmes.

     

    For the 2024 entry, the Scholarship will be funded by Village CARE Campaign under the title of “HKBU Village CARE Campaign Admission Scholarship Scheme for Outstanding South and South East Asian Ethnic Minority Students”.

     

    EMSS for new students admitted to HKBU in 2024-25 is accepting applications now, please click here for more details. The application deadline is 31 March 2024.

    HKBU First-Generation University Student Fund (FGF) was established to help unlock precious opportunities for BU’s first-generation local undergraduates to participate in diverse outside-of-classroom learning activities and develop in an all-rounded manner. Successful applicants will receive up to $15,000 for participating in different outside-of-classroom learning activities. The subsidy amount will be pro-rata for applicants of senior years. Therefore, the earlier you apply for the Fund, the higher amount of subsidy you are entitled to.

    [UG] PUNCH For Your Health – Thai-Boxing Training And Service Programme  (Phase 2)

    Being mindful of and taking actions to improve one’s physical and mental health is crucial especially during the post-pandemic recovery.  
    In PUNCH for Your Health, students will learn the sports and strengthen oneself, then carry forward the positivity by providing training to some underprivileged teenagers in the community.  After the training, with a bond built up between the students and the teenagers, the teenagers will be invited to visit HKBU campus for a personal development workshop, to be delivered by the students.
