    Dear Career Practitioners, Social Workers / Youth Workers,

    Invitation to Mini-Conference - “New Directions in Career Intervention and Career Education” 

    We are pleased to invite you to attend the CLAP for Youth @ JC Mini-Conference themed “New Directions in Career Intervention and Career Education”. The Conference will be held at The Chinese University of Hong Kong on 9 March 2019.

    The mini-conference aims to bring the latest in theory and practice on career intervention, and to share the good practices of career development to professionals, teachers, and social workers. The keynote speakers of the mini-conference are Professor David L. Blustein from Boston College, Professor Rachel Gali Cinamon from Tel Aviv University and Professor Alvin Leung from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Professor Blustein will speak on the topic of “The Psychology of Working in Practice: A Theory of Change for a New Era”. Professor Cinamon will address the theme of “Life Span and Time Perspective of the Work-family Interface – Critical Transitions and Suggested Interventions”.  Professor Leung will share about the topic on “Do Students Feel Connected and Supported? Findings and Implications from CLAP for Youth @ JC”.

    We would like to sincerely invite you to attend the mini-conference. Please see below for details:

    Hong Kong Innovation Foundation (HKIF) is a non-profit organisation founded by Sino Group in March 2018. HKIF aims at cultivating the spirit of innovation of our next generation. We offer free STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) courses to primary 3 to lower secondary school students from underserved families. Backed by a dedicated tutor team composed of local university students, the programmes adopt an enquiry-based learning approach which fosters students’ creativity, increases their sense of achievement, inspires a growing passion for learning and promotes social inclusion.

    We are recruiting Teaching Assistants from local universities now, please find the attached recruitment notice and poster for reference.
