“I. M. Pei: Life Is Architecture” Exhibition Guided Tour and Tea Gathering 「貝聿銘:人生如建築」展覽導賞及茶聚
24 JUL 2024M+ Museum will soon be the first to present a large-scale retrospective exhibition of Chinese-American architect I.M. Pei, who is known as the last master of modernist architecture, Mr Pei said, ‘The most beautiful architecture should be built on top of time, and time will give us all the answers.’ This exhibition will showcase I.M. Pei's 70 years of architectural design spanning various cities around the world and introduce to the public the close connection between architecture and social and cultural life through six themes: ‘Pei’s Cross-Cultural Foundations’, ‘Real Estate and Urban Redevelopment’, ‘Art and Civic Form’, ‘Power, Politics, and Patronage’, ‘Material and Structural Innovation’, and ‘Reinterpreting History through Design’.
In order to give the public a deeper understanding of I.M. Pei's architectural designs, Maritime Silk Road Society is honoured to invite Mr Li Lin, a tutor from the Department of Chinese and History of City University of Hong Kong, to give a guided tour of I.M. Pei's architectural designs and to let the public experience the charm of I.M. Pei's architectural designs through the passage of time.

Following the success of the 2nd BEC X NESS Green Jobs Fair, NESS is collaborating with LinkedIn HK on the Green Jobs Series Events, providing 2 events (i.e. Green Skills Building Workshop, and Green Jobs Panel & Speed-Networking Session) on 3rd and 10th May from 4-6 pm at LinkedIn HK’s office respectively.Aiming to reach around 60 youth, our first session-the Green Skills Building Workshop aims to equip youth with relevant green skills and knowledge, particularly soft skills, to get a green job, build competitive advantages, and enable successful entry into various sustainability-focused roles. Our second session-Green Jobs Panel & Speed-Networking Session aims to help youth gain knowledge and insights into the latest sustainability trends and practices in the sustainability field, as well as seek career guidance in the green job market.

Ocean Park Graduate Trainee Program 2024
During the 12-month period of this program, the selected trainees will be given a series of structured training on park knowledge, service delivery and people skills to enable them to work efficiently and effectively in their respective roles. Ample opportunities will be offered for them to participate in work placements in other departments, to learn the various aspects of theme park operation and guest services. Upon successful completion of the program, with satisfactory work performance being observed, the Park will consider to offer long-term contracts to the Graduate Trainees to support the Park’s rapid organizational development and transformational growth.

Requirements
- University graduate in hospitality, tourism, leisure, attraction, business administration or related disciplines

- Able to work under pressure with good multi-tasking skills, good team player, interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
- Creative, able to think critically, a fast learner who is willing to take up work challenges in a dynamic ever-changing environment
- A 1-year employment contract, annual 12 months’ pay, contract-end gratuity & medical insurance
