“I. M. Pei: Life Is Architecture” Exhibition Guided Tour and Tea Gathering 「貝聿銘：人生如建築」展覽導賞及茶聚

M+ Museum will soon be the first to present a large-scale retrospective exhibition of Chinese-American architect I.M. Pei, who is known as the last master of modernist architecture, Mr Pei said, ‘The most beautiful architecture should be built on top of time, and time will give us all the answers.’ This exhibition will showcase I.M. Pei's 70 years of architectural design spanning various cities around the world and introduce to the public the close connection between architecture and social and cultural life through six themes: ‘Pei’s Cross-Cultural Foundations’, ‘Real Estate and Urban Redevelopment’, ‘Art and Civic Form’, ‘Power, Politics, and Patronage’, ‘Material and Structural Innovation’, and ‘Reinterpreting History through Design’.

In order to give the public a deeper understanding of I.M. Pei's architectural designs, Maritime Silk Road Society is honoured to invite Mr Li Lin, a tutor from the Department of Chinese and History of City University of Hong Kong, to give a guided tour of I.M. Pei's architectural designs and to let the public experience the charm of I.M. Pei's architectural designs through the passage of time.

M+博物館即將於6月首辦美籍華裔建築大師貝聿銘的大型回顧展。被稱為最後一位現代主義建築大師的貝聿銘曾言：「最美的建築，應該是建築在時間之上的，時間會給出一切答案。」是次展覽將會展出貝聿銘縱貫七十載，橫跨世界各城市的建築設計。以六大主題：「貝聿銘的跨文化底蘊」、「房地產和都市重建」、「藝術與公共建築」、「權力、政治與賞識青睞」、「物料改良與結構創新」和「以設計重新解讀歷史」向公眾介紹建築與社會及文化生活的緊密連繫。

為使大家對貝聿銘大師建築設計有更深的認識，海上絲綢之路協會很榮幸邀請到香港城市大學導師李磷先生作導賞，帶領大家感受貝聿銘的建築設計在歷經時間沉澱後所散發的魅力。
