Invitation to Youth Start-up Internship Programme 2024

 

Innovation and Technology is one of biggest work trends? Here you can find internship opportunities, no ICT background is needed! Cyberport and the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau is relaunching the Youth Start-up Internship Programme 2024 with higher subsidy and more enrichment activities this year. Startups from Cyberport Community are recruited, to provide up to 100 cross-disciplinary internship vacancies for local students. The programme provides young talents with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the Innovation and Technology (I&T) industry and deeper understanding on entreprenurship.

Internship Duration:                             3 months (Extension to 6 months subject to approval)

                                                                3) Creative Pitching competiton (Guided by mentor)

Who Can Join?

• Aged between 18 – 30
• Full-time student from a local post-secondary or tertiary institution
• Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card Holder or Hong Kong Identity Card Holder
• Currently not a beneficiary under any publicly funded internship programme

SHUN HING INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME (SHIP) 2024

 

Company: Shun Hing Group

 

Company Background:
Shun Hing Group, being a well-established group of companies, has been working since 1953 in pursuit of excellence and recognition as the leading supplier of consumer, office and industrial electronic products as well as a prominent building service contractor in Hong Kong, Macau and China. With support from its 1,600 staff, Shun Hing Group strives to offer products, services and solutions, in order to achieve total customer satisfaction.

 

SHIP Background:
Shun Hing Internship Programme (SHIP) is part of the community relations programme of Shun Hing Group in education, comprising of briefings, on-the-job training and practicing, review forums, event organization and presentation session. SHIP, an integral component of the students' journey from studies to work, facilitates non-final-year undergraduate students in Hong Kong with exposure to practical work environment. In the past 18 years, more than 250 students had undergone the journey of SHIP. SHIP mentors, being experienced staff members from Shun Hing Group, will provide guidance to the interns.

Title: Summer Intern

Main Responsibilities
Summer Interns will be assigned, according to their strengths and attributes, to work in one of the Group companies, with specific focus on Sales & Marketing, Human Resources & Training, Finance & Accounting, Logistics, Engineering or other office support functions.

Working Hours: Normal Working Hours: Mon - Fri: 0900 – 1800 Duration: 1 June to 18 August 2024

Requirement: 1. Undergraduates of local universities or tertiary institutes

  2. Completed Year 2 or Year 3 studies (non-final-year students)

  3. GPA - 3 or above preferable

  4. Applicants are expected to be outgoing with good communication and inter-personal skills

  5. Cantonese speaker

  6. Available for the whole period of internship (i.e. June to August)

Remuneration: $10,000 per month
