2020 Pilot Apprenticeship Programme for Private Wealth Management
Private Wealth Management Association (“PWMA”) is an industry association whose mission is to foster the growth and development of the private wealth management industry in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong Monetary Authority (“HKMA”) and PWMA have jointly organized a pilot apprenticeship programme for private wealth management (“PWM”) business in Hong Kong.
The Pilot Apprenticeship Programme involves two consecutive summers of paid, on-the-job apprenticeship training at a host PWM institution. It provides participants with front-to-back training and experience in functions including client services, investment products and services, operations, marketing, compliance and risk management, etc.
Participants who successfully complete the Programme and receive positive appraisals will be eligible for potential job offers in an appropriate PWM function (from front, middle or back office) at the host firms upon graduation.

Date: Saturday, November 2, 2019
Time: Session 1: 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Session 2: 2:15 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.
Venue: Y Studio, 2/F, Youth Square, 238 Chai Wan Road, Chai Wan, Hong Kong (Chai Wan MTR Station Exit A)
Dress code: Business Casual
• Full-time students in their first to third year of study
• Students who possess a valid working visa in Hong Kong
• The apprenticeship period will last for 16 weeks in the summer of 2020 and 2021
Students will receive a recommended stipend allowance of not less than HK$10,000 from their host institution sponsored in part by the HKMA.
Our Recruitment Day registration deadline is 29 October 2019 (Tuesday) and online application period is from 2 November to 8 December 2019.
On the Recruitment Day, students will have a chance to network with recruiters and senior professionals from the participating firms. Please prepare well and search in advance all background information about the programme, business and the firms you are interested in.
