05 - 15 OCT 2021Cyberport x Home Affairs Bureau Youth Start-up Internship Programme 青年初創實習計劃
The Youth Start-up Internship Programme, co-organised by Cyberport and Home Affairs Bureau (HAB), bridges talented students and the Cyberport Community Companies by offering 3-month internship opportunities and various enrichment activities to enthusiastic youths. HAB will provide salary subsidies to Cyberport Start-ups for engaging interns under the programme.
Apart from technical and design-related positions, internships in non-technical capacities such as corporate communications, business development, marketing and data analysis are also offered. In general, start-ups specialising in Smart Living provide the most vacancies, which encompass EdTech, RetailTech, HealthTech, IoT, as well as FinTech and digital entertainment & esports.
Under the Programme, more than 440 job vacancies are offered by 168 Cyberport start-ups. The first phase of the Programme offers 30 internship positions for local post-secondary full-time students aged between 18 and 30. Applications are open today on iTalent.
Internship Period: Oct 2021 onwards
Internship Duration: 3 months

Hackathons (黑客松) have been a recent recruitment tool to hire quality talents in Hong Kong and Asia. Large corporations today have been organizing or using hackathons in their recruitment assessment to evaluate a candidate's problem-solving, interpersonal and time-management skills etc.
Co-organized with OnGrad and Stargazers Consulting, Career Centre is going to conduct a "How to Ace a Hackathon in Recruitment Assessment" Training Series in October 2021. This preparation training series aims to equip students with essential skills to win and outshine other candidates at hackathons.

What is PPP?
Pitch Perfect (完美求職計劃) is a training programme and competition from the Young Executives Club (YEC) of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, which aims to help university students prepare for the world of work. The programme has four stages: training sessions, company visits, mentoring from YEC members, and a round of competitions where the students will have the opportunity to impress the judges in a two-minute pitch.
The programme aims to help university students prepare for their career, which contains training sessions, company visits, mentoring by Chamber members, and competitions where students will pitch to senior executives.
Eligibility: Year 2-4 undergraduate students at local universities
Participation Fee: HK$200 (with a complimentary HKGCC student membership)
Format: Individual

Stage 1: Training Courses- Day 1 (3 Nov): Interview and Presentation Skills Training
- Day 2 (10 Nov): Problem Solving and Analytical Skills Training
- Day 3 (17 Nov): Personal Branding Building

- joining the first round of the pitching competition.
