Prof. Ken WONG, Member, ACGE
Executive Director, Hong Kong Life Sciences Society
Ken joined the CEO Office of Nan Fung Group in 2018, where he led the establishment of the Hong Kong Life Sciences Society. His role is to develop an ecosystem that fosters partnerships between the Group’s life sciences business units and among investors, academics, venture capitals, and start-ups, while also building a pipeline of tech talent in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.
Before joining Nan Fung Group, Ken was the Head of Learning and Participation at the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA). He was instrumental in developing the five-year strategic plan for performing arts education and leading initiatives in learning, public engagement, and advocacy in preparation for the opening of various art venues.
Ken has accumulated over two decades of experience across higher education, technology, and creative industries. He is passionate about fostering innovation and arts-science collaborations. Ken joined HKU SPACE in 2000 and was appointed as the Head of International College from 2013 to 2017. He has held adjunct professor positions at HKU SPACE and the University of the West of England, Bristol.
Ken has served as an advisory board member for the Interdisciplinary Unit and the Business Discipline Unit at the Vocational Training Council, as well as an advisor for HKU AIESEC. He was previously an advisor (learning) in WKCDA, a council member at the Po Leung Kuk-HKU SPACE Community College, and an advisory committee member of Central Saint Martins' MA Arts and Cultural Enterprise programme.
