[UG] Study Tour on Elderly Care in Taiwan

Have you ever thought of spending your semester break in Taiwan?

A 6 day study tour to Taipei will be organised during the semester break which include service programmes with elderly in Taiwan, exchange session with students in Taiwan, University visit, cultural visits and New Year Celebration. Through the study tour, we would like students to have a better understanding of the elderly practices and policies in Taiwan and possible ways in which elderly in Hong Kong can benefit from it. It would also be an opportunity for participants to explore on the topic of aging and gain insight in the challenges and opportunities involved.

Date: 30/12/2018(Sun) - 04/01/2019(Fri)
Fee: $1,200* + $500 refundable deposit to be refunded upon satisfactory completion of the tour and submission of report
Itinerary: The official itinerary is designed by the Halls Team and students are required to participate in all sessions. Yet, there will be a full day for participants’ self- exploration of Taipei during New Year Celebration.

*The fee includes round trip airfare, airport tax & fuel surcharge, group insurance, local travel and group meals in Taiwan unless otherwise stated.
*Please make sure there is at least 6 months validity on your passport. Any fee incurred from visa application/ renewal is not included in the fee.

Applicants might be invited to attend an interview on 21-22 Nov 2018. Please check email for details.

Ps. Please note that although language would not stop our serving hearts, the major medium of instruction of the seminars provided by the service agents would be in Mandarin and only minimal simultaneous translation would be provided by our own accompanying staff. 

Remarks:
*The listed programme fee ($1,200) takes into account subsidy from ^Mainland and Overseas Expedition Fund (MOEF). If the student is sponsored by MOEF in other programmes organised by SA, please contact the organiser for the programme fee that applies.

^MOEF is a subsidy to sponsors students to mainland and overseas expeditions organized by the Office of Student Affairs (SA). Eligible participants will be automatically included to the scheme and the subsidy will be used to cover the cost of the individual awardees.
