Full-time UGC-funded postgraduate and undergraduate students are eligible to apply for the University accommodation in accordance with the Housing Policy. Application approval of student residence is subject to the University’s Admission Criteria governing application for student residence and bed space availability. Submission of application form does not guarantee that offer of bed space can be granted.

Full-time Non-local Research Postgraduate Students


According to the Housing Policy, UGC-funded full-time research students will be accommodated in the University accommodation in their first year of studies if needed. Priorities will be given to those who are awardees of the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme. Please read the General Information carefully and thoroughly before you submit your student residence application. 

  1. Although research postgraduate students have higher priority than others in applying for on-campus student residence, they should forward applications by the specified deadline. 
  2. If a current research postgraduate student is going to continue his / her study in the coming academic year and would like to apply for student residence, no matter he/she is currently residing at any residence of the University, he/she is still required to submit an application by the specified deadline.   
  3. Applicants will receive an email notification after the application closing date. He / She should follow the instructions and indicate his / her acceptance of the bed space. If he/she fails to respond before the specified deadline by settling the accommodation fee and associated fees (i.e. caution money and student activity annual fee), the bed space offer will automatically be forfeited.

 Full-time Exchange Postgraduate Students


  1. According to the University's Housing Policy, full-time exchange postgraduate students will be accommodated in the University accommodation during the exchange period, which shall be fixed according to the exchange term as agreed by Hong Kong Baptist University and the home university.
  2. A successful applicant will receive an email notification. He / She should follow the instruction and indicate his / her acceptance of the bed space offer. If he / she fails to respond before the specified deadline by settling the accommodation fee and associated fees (i.e. caution money and student activity annual fee), the bed space offer will automatically be forfeited.
  3. There is no guarantee that bed space can be provided due to limited capacity.

Full-time Non-local Taught Postgraduate Students


  1. According to the University's Housing Policy, full-time non-local taught postgraduate students will be accommodated in the University accommodation in the first year of their studies if needed. Yet, priorities will be given to those whose study programs are UGC-funded.
  2. A successful applicant will receive an email notification. He / She should follow the instruction and indicate his / her acceptance of the bed space. If he / she fails to respond before the specified deadline by settling the accommodation fee and associated fees (i.e. caution money and student activity annual fee), the bed space offer will automatically be forfeited.
  3. There is no guarantee that bed space can be provided due to limited capacity.

Full-time Non-local Undergraduate Students


Eligibility Financial Assistance - Housing Subsidy Scheme

Please read the General Information carefully and thoroughly before you submit your student residence application. 

Eligibility

  1. UGC-funded full-time non-local undergraduate students will be provided with hostel places in the University accommodation in their first year of studies.
  2. In their second year of studies, students can apply for the University accommodation, subject to availability.
  3. No University accommodation will be provided starting from their third year of studies .
Notes:
 
  1. Non-local undergraduate students who are recipients of a Full Admissions Scholarship will be provided with the University accommodation throughout their studies. This is not applicable to recipients who have been denied renewal of their scholarships by the University Scholarship Committee.
  2. Different accommodation packages and fees will apply according to the availability of hostel places in the University accommodation.

Financial Assistance - Housing Subsidy Scheme

UGC-funded full-time non-local undergraduate students who are offered bed space of NTTIH with proven financial hardship may apply for housing subsidies. Applicants’ academic achievement and contribution to the university will be considered. Submission of application form with supporting documents is required.
