Event Review:

香港浸會大學與北京師範大學-香港浸會大學聯合國際學院首次聯合舉辦高桌宴會,吸引超過230位兩校師生及企業代表參與,並邀得珠海元朗食品有限公司聯席董事長兼總經理伍素萍女士擔任主講嘉賓。

北京師範大學-香港浸會大學聯合國際學院校長陳致教授致辭時表示,一直以來與浸大有密切聯繫,並很高興出席自擔任校長以來的首場高桌宴會,期望兩校未來有更多的合作。

香港浸會大學副校長周偉立博士表示,很榮幸見證歷史時刻,參與首場由兩校合辦的高桌宴會,也引證「一校兩園」的概念得以進一步實踐。他進一步分享高桌宴會的意義,鼓勵學生積極與身邊的同學及僱主進行高素質的交流,擴闊視野。

伍女士以「共享灣區機遇  促進青年共贏」作主題演講,講述大灣區的獨特性及發展前景,鼓勵香港學生好好善用自身的優勢,把握機遇;而在回應學生的提問時,她的幽默風格更贏得全場的笑聲。

是次活動獲田家炳基金會支持,贊助香港學生前往北京師範大學-香港浸會大學聯合國際學院參與今次的高桌宴會,並邀得田家炳基金會代表、珠海市田家炳中學徐汝成校長擔任嘉賓。


The first High Table Dinner, jointly organised by HKBU and Beijing Normal University - Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (UIC) was successfully held on 13 April 2024, attracting over 230 students, staff members and industry representatives. Ms. Wu Suping, Co-Chairman and General Manager of Zhuhai Eulong Foods Limited served as the keynote speaker.

Professor Chen Zhi, President of UIC, highlighted his longstanding relationship with HKBU and expressed his delight at attending the first High Table Dinner since resuming his duty. He emphasized the potential for deepening collaboration between HKBU and UIC.

Dr. Albert Chau, Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) of HKBU, reflected on the significance of the occasion, noting the historic milestone of the joint high-table dinner and its embodiment of the "One University, Two Campuses" concept. He encouraged students to actively engage in meaningful exchanges with their peers and industry professionals to broaden their perspectives.

In her keynote address titled “Sharing Opportunities in the Greater Bay Area to Foster Youth Success”, Ms. Wu highlighted the unique prospects of Greater Bay Area and urged Hong Kong students to leverage their strengths. Her engaging responses to student queries added a touch of humor and warmth to the event.

The event was supported by Tin Ka Ping Foundation, which sponsored Hong Kong students to attend the High Table Dinner at UIC and invited Mr. Xu Rucheung, Principal of TianJiaBing High School For Zhuhai as the guest at the event.
