Hong Kong's ocean is being trashed by the plastic. According to a study report on "Investigation on the Sources and Fates of Marine Refuse in Hong Kong" commissioned by the Environmental Protection Department in 2015, over 50% of marine refuse was plastic. Therefore, Kayak for Marine Service aims to recruit students who are keen on environmental protection, and willing to help save the ocean in Hong Kong. Students will equip themselves with 1-3 star kayaking skills and provide coastal cleanup service. There will also be environmental protection activities to raise the awareness of the general public.
