In line with the mission of the University to provide a higher education that develops and sustains the integrity of the whole person, and its values of strong commitment to both academic excellence and community service, the Leadership Qualities Centre (LQC) aims to empower HKBU students to become committed global and local citizens, assume active roles to face and resolve global challenges and to become proactive contributors in local community.

We extend students’ learning outside the classroom. By connecting with various local and overseas partners, we hope to provide unique experiential learning opportunities for students to serve, lead and grow through service-learning and community engagement projects. In addition, we offer different trainings, conferences and field experiences for students to develop their global vision, both locally and overseas.

Partnership with students is not just a matter of doing things. We treasure the process of working together, and also the learning that could have brought to both our staff and students.

We maintain a long term relationship with our student partners and have been engaging them in our key programmes. In which, our student partners have been given out many brilliant and creative ideas for the improvement of many programmes. On the other hand, they gained knowledge and experience of leadership, and their confidence and skills are increased.

To ensure a safe and fruitful learning experience for you, HKBU strives to provide you with timely and appropriate assistance should special and medical needs arise during your participation in an activity outside Hong Kong. You are required to complete and submit the forms below, or other additional forms relevant to the nature of your outbound trips, to respective HKBU staff before the specified submission deadline.
