Cultural & Economic Study tour to Mexico 2023

Background
To explore the Belt and Road Initiatives in Latin American and its positive impact brought to Mexican economy, and to experience the diverse cultures in Mexico, the Cultural and Economic Study Tour will be organised.
Participants will be able to understand the social, cultural and economic development in Mexico, particularly the Chinese influence on the local economy. Participants from Hong Kong will also share the unique Chinese traditions, arts and culture to the local people, and at the same time, learn about the vibrant Mexican culture.
On the last day of the journey, a youth forum on education, employment, entrepreneurship and home ownership will be conducted to allow intellectual exchanges among Hong Kong and Mexican youth.
AIMs
- Enhance young people understanding of the development in Mexico through interacting with scholars, professionals and young people in Mexico;
- Facilitate in-depth cultural exchange with people in Mexico through dialogues, workshops and explorations to achieve mutual respect and appreciation of respective cultures;
- Broaden the global vision of Hong Kong young people through youth forum with Mexican youth and visits to landmarks rich in cultural and historic values in Mexico

Screening Interview
Applicants may be invited to attend screening interview on 6 Oct or 9 Oct 2023.
Fees
- HKD$18,000/person (Non-UGC students: HKD 20,000/person)
- Costs include round trip flight ticket, accommodation, meals and activities arranged by LQC.
- $1000 refundable upon full-attendance of all the trainings and services with satisfactory performance.
- Successful applicants will be notified shortly after the screening interview.
- To indicate the acceptance of offer, the programme fee has be to settled before the given deadline. All fee paid are non-refundable.
Eligible students may apply for funding support from FGF.

Succesful Applicants must fulfill the vaccination and travel requirements (if any) as required by the concerned country and bear own costs of visa application (if applicable).
