Join us for a special edition of HKBUSVC to learn and create arts and crafts of preserved flowers, experience inclusion by visiting and serving different groups in society, and enhance your arts and crafts skills and empathy!

Pressed Flower Lamppressed flower lamp

Pressed Flowers Lamp DIY Workshop & Visit to Home of Loves Hostel.
燈伙萬家:壓花枱燈DIY x 華愛之家探訪

Volunteers will visit the Home of Loves Hostel run by the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong. There, they will learn to make their own pressed flower lamps and spend a fun weekend with people with intellectual disability.


Location: Wah Fu Estate (Outbound Shuttle from Kowloon Tong and Central Available)

Flower Ringflower lamp

Flower Ring DIY Workshop & Reaching Out to Older Buddies
花漾年華:保鮮花環DIY  x 長者探訪

Volunteers will team up with bright older buddies to visit elderly people in the Chai Wan neighbourhoods; after that, they will learn to make flower ring art. They will attain experience in intergenerational communication and enhance their understanding beyond age.

Language: Cantonese (Non-Cantonese Speakers are also welcome)

Pine Cone Christmas Tree Workshop & Winter Carnival
冬花雪月:松果聖誕樹DIY x 冬日嘉年華服務

Volunteers will create their own unique pine cone Christmas tree art and then serve in a carnival, bringing a joyous holiday to the Lam Tin residents. 

 

Location: Lam Tin
Language: Cantonese (Non-Cantonese Speakers are also welcome)
