Recruitment of College Tutors
in Village CARE for Residential Year 2025-2026

 

The Village CARE is recruiting College Tutors for the Residential Year 2025-2026.

Eligibility

All UGC-funded Research Postgraduate Students 

Roles and Duties of College Tutors

College Tutors will report directly to their respective College Masters and College Fellows. Each College Tutor will assist their College Master and College Fellows in delivering residential education with the support of the Office of Student Affairs. The core duties of College Tutors are as follows:

  • Serving as a role model and mentor to residents of their floor(s);
  • Supporting the educational activities of their College as appropriate;
  • Supporting the respective College Masters and College Fellows on administrative matters and emergency handling; and
  • Monitoring student discipline on their floor(s).

Required Documents for Submission

Please prepare ALL of the following documents before you begin your submission:

  • Information of ONE Referee
    The name, position, your relation and email address of ONE referee (except College Masters, College Fellows and staff from the Student Accommodation Section, SA).

    Seek the consent of the referee in advance. Individual Colleges may approach your nominated referee, without further seeking your confirmation, anytime during the selection process.

  • Your CV (in pdf format)
    Your resume should be able to highlight your skills matching the roles and duties of College Tutor. The application form will only accept files in PDF format.
Important Notes
  1. Selected candidates will be invited to attend the interview in early June. The interview results will be released to applicants in mid-June.
  2. Successful candidates are required to attend the College Tutor training in late July to early August.
  3. The appointment period of a College Tutor is normally at least one academic year and is renewable, subject to the semester-end evaluation result.
  4. It is expected that the College Tutors shall not be away from Hong Kong to attend to the needs of residents during the semester.
