Build the Stage for Your Own Legacy!

This year, LIVE integrates personal development with meaningful community projects. You won’t only be equipped by hands-on workshops to grow your skills and mindset, but also opening a dynamic leadership pathway to activate and practise your unique talents!  You’ll transit from a passionate learner to a confident leader.

Whether you’re curious about human values, sustainable development, or the future of technology, LIVE gives you the platform to turn your "big ideas" into real-world action through signature art initiatives.

💥 Only 20 spots are available for talented HKBU undergraduates with unlimited potential.

 

🚀  You are expected to:

1.      Complete a hands-on group mission to organise a meaningful arts and culture event that promotes sustainable development for public benefit. You’ll be supported with intensive training, mentorship, and dedicated seed funding.

2.      Present your team’s creative concept at the prestigious Youth Forum of Hong Kong Culture and Sustainability Conference (CUSU) 2026.

3.      Shape your personal growth journey through optional, year-round workshops to expand your creative edge:

4.      Put your skills into immediate action by opting into hands-on leadership roles to learn by doing, responsibilities are offered based on readiness to ensure a good fit.

📌 Notes to Applicants

💥 Programme Period: 1 Sep 2026 – 31 Aug 2027

💥 Application Deadline: 2 September 2026 (Wednesday), 4:00 p.m.

💥 Screening Interview: Begins from 18 August 2026.  Interviews may be arranged with selected candidates.

💥 Results Announcement: By email in batches, no later than 9 September 2026 (Wednesday) evening.

💥 Fee: FREE + HK$500 refundable deposit

 

Who is eligible?

1. Current full-time HKBU UGC-funded undergraduates of all majors.

2. Passionate about Arts, Culture and Lifestyle, eager to learn and gain hands-on experience.

3. Available to attend all the activities listed in the Group Activities Schedule above. 

4. Priority will be given to Year 1 and Year 2 students when the programme is oversubscribed. 

 

Deposit Refund Requirements:  

The deposit will be refunded via bank transfer only after ALL of the following requirements are fulfilled:

  • Attend and be punctual for all the trainings, presentation and community project.
  • Submit the post-project survey
  • To request an excused absence, submit official documentation prior to the activity. Acceptable documentation includes professor’s confirmation email for academic obligations or a doctor’s note for medical reasons.

 

About the Training Facilitator

Ms. Claire Lo
Experienced Event Organiser ‧ Teacher ‧ Writer ‧ HKBU alumna

Claire Lo Ka Man (pen name: Siu Syu 小書) is a writer, funeral planner, horticultural therapist, and workshop instructor. Upon graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and a PGDE (Liberal Studies) from Hong Kong Baptist University, Claire started her career as an English teacher. She later obtained a Master’s Degree in Cultural Studies from Lingnan University.

From 2015 to 2025, Claire operated her own business. As the founder of Market Fairish, she led a team of enthusiastic colleagues to organize culturally related and entertainment events, such as weekend bazaars, art workshops, and exhibitions. Driven by her passion for reading and sharing ideas and experiences with others, she founded the "Book Cultural Fair (書墟文化節)" in 2017, which has since become an annual reading event.

In 2021, Claire published her first book, Love Diary (小情書), which ranked third in the 19th Top Ten Book Picks (Secondary School Division) organized by Hong Kong EdCity. In 2022, she published her second book, Love Diary 2 (小情書2), which recorded her battle against a rare cancer.

Her other books include Self-Healing Life: Face Your Fears Until You See Hope (2024) and Love Diary 3 (2026).
