[CCL] Fitness for all: Cardio and muscle strength training (a fitness assistant training for Service@ TuesDates)

Boost your body strength, flexibility, and endurance! Whether you’re a seasoned fitness enthusiast or a complete beginner, this programme is designed to cater to ALL fitness levels. No prior fitness experience? No problem! Our sessions will combine cardio and muscle strength training in a fun, supportive environment.

In addition to enhancing your own fitness skills, you will also learn how to design simple exercise routines specifically tailored for the elderly. This knowledge will not only benefit your fitness journey but also empower you to help others stay active and healthy.

[CCL] Empower Through Practice: Yoga for Inner Strength and Resilience

The CCL-recognized three-class workshop is designed for those who are ready to deepen their yoga practice and cultivate inner strength. This course is tailored for confident individuals looking to enhance their resilience both on and off the mat.

Participants will explore a series of dynamic asanas (postures) and mindful breathing techniques that promote physical strength and mental fortitude, building resilience through challenging yoga practises that fosters self-discovery, growth and confidence.

Whether you’re looking to enhance your physical practice or seeking to strengthen your mental resilience, the workshop offers a holistic approach to yoga that empowers you to face challenges with confidence and grace.

Who Should Attend: This programme is ideal for individuals with some yoga experience OR for individuals who are confident in their physical ability. 

Quota: 24 (First-come-first-served, open to all HKBU UGC-funded degree-seeking undergraduate students, with priority for UGH residents)

About the trainer: Cheryl
Cheryl is a dedicated yoga instructor and dance meditation facilitator. As an advocate for mindfulness, self-compassion, mental health, and self-inquiry, Cheryl believes that creating a better world starts from within by nurturing one’s mind, body, and heart. In addition, Cheryl is a certified Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Facilitator (TCTSY-F), further enriching her approach to teaching and healing through yoga.

[CCL] Dance The Night Away - Dance Experience for Beginners (Jazz Funk Dance)

In a 4-class Jazz Funk Dance Workshop (Absolute Beginner Level), you will learn the dance foundations and practice a new choreography by the trainer and showcase, to boost your confidence, build up an exercise habit, train your body coordination and express your feelings and style through body movement.

LamBo is a Jazz Funk and Girl’s Hiphop dance instructor and choreographer with over ten years of dancing experience. Currently, she is a member of Dim Sum Crew and Razza Dance Crew and a dance tutor in 5 dance studios in Hong Kong. LamBo has participated in various performances and competitions, including C AllStar Concert, Ocean Park Halloween, Karen Mok 《絕》MV (Dancer), and Arena Dance Competition (Chengdu).

In this workshop, you'll experience the joy of stand-up comedy firsthand, gaining a deeper appreciation for the art of humor. Discover the rich history and spirit of stand-up comedy, understanding its vital role in society and personal expression in a sense of leadership. Our expert speaker Vivek (Ah V) will equip you with practical comedy skills that promote well-being, resilience, and joy through laughter.

[CCL] Dance The Night Away - Dance Experience for Beginners

Dance the night with your peers and train your body coordination through Hip Hop Dance, KPOP Dance and Latin Dance!
(You can join more than one class. 1 CCL unit for each class)

Quota: 20 for each class (First-come-first-served, open to all HKBU UGC-funded degree-seeking undergraduate students, with priority for UGH residents)

(A) Hip Hop Dance (12 Sep)
You will learn the culture and foundations of Hip Hop Dance, and learn how to connect music with your body movements.

(B) KPOP Dance (19 Sep)
You will learn the basics of K-POP dance and attend a dance tutorial (Lisa - Rockstar OR Nayeon - ABCD).

(C) Latin Dance (26 Sep)
You will learn the basics and techniques of Latin dance, single and pairing dance routines and showcase.

About the trainer: Kia
Kia is a choreographer and Hip Hop dancer with eight years of dancing experience. She has participated in various performances and competitions, including the Hong Kong International Chinese New Year Night Parade, Citygate Outlet Chinese New Year Performance, Deep Ng Concert, GU Flash Mob, Figure OUCH!, etc.

About the trainer: Pui Pui
Pui Pui is a member of the Hong Kong K-POP dance group Saga Dance Crew and has taught children, teenagers and adults at over 10 dance studios in Hong Kong. She specializes in K-POP dance, Jazz Funk and choreography. Pui Pui was awarded in various competitions, including 2018 High Schoolers Hip Hop Championship Hong Kong, 2020 KPOP COVER DANCE FESTIVAL (Hong Kong) and 2023 Figure Ouch! Dance Video. Since 2019, Pui Pui has been dedicated to teaching K-POP dance and is currently a leading dance instructor and influencer.

About the trainer: Yoyo
Yoyo is a Latin Dance Tutor with more than ten years of dancing experience. She obtained the International Recognised License from NATD and has been teaching in Viva Dance Company Limited for private classes, foundations and professional choreography since 2021. Yoyo has participated in various performances and competitions, including 2023 Figure OUCH!, 2024 Crescendo Open Training and was awarded Champion in 精英盃全港標準舞及拉丁舞⼤賽2023.

[CCL] Yoga and Meditation for Beginners 2024-25 (Sem 1)

In this CCL-recognized four-class workshop, students will practice basic yoga postures, breathing exercises, body scan and various forms of meditation, like Dance and Movement Meditation, that cultivate mindfulness and self-awareness. 

By the end of the workshop, students can experience a deeper sense of calmness, a better understanding of their thoughts and body needs, and path the way for a healthier lifestyle.
