The Hong Kong Jockey Club Chairman’s Scholarship is a prestigious and generous scholarship that aims to attract students with exceptional academic achievements to pursue their undergraduate studies in Hong Kong. It is open to local students as well as students from Mainland China and other countries and regions.

 

Eligibility 

You should apply if you:

  • Are applying to enter the first year of undergraduate studies in Hong Kong Baptist University in the 2025/26 academic year; and
  • Demonstrate an exceptional standard of academic performance (the ideal candidate is likely to obtain 45 out of 45 in the International Baccalaureate, 5** in five or more subjects in the HKDSE[1], or the equivalent in other public examinations).

Students studying in Mainland China or other countries and regions regardless of citizenship and nationality are welcome to apply.

 

Application method

  1. Visit the scholarship website (https://jcscholarships.hk/en/scholarship/chairmans-scholarship).
  2. Complete the application form, and obtain the necessary references by asking your secondary school principal and referee to fill in the Principal Nomination Form and the Referee Recommendation Form respectively.
  3. Upload and submit all application materials before the application deadline via the scholarship website (https://jcscholarships.hk/en/apply/chairmans-scholarship).

This scholarship is administered by The Hong Kong Jockey Club, and is not administered by Hong Kong Baptist University. All applications must be submitted directly to The Hong Kong Jockey Club via the scholarship website.

 

The application procedures above only apply to students who are studying in secondary schools outside Hong Kong. For potential applicants who are currently studying in a secondary school in Hong Kong (regardless of your citizenship or nationality), you must apply via your secondary school through principal’s nomination. Please refer to the scholarship website for the most updated details.
