Introduction

Coaching, Organisation Development, and Engagement (CODE) Programme is a series of tailor-made training sessions exclusively designed for officers of student organisations. Its primary goal is to equip students with essential knowledge and practical skills necessary for the development and growth of your student organisations. This 20 May 2025 (Tuesday), 2 CCL units recognised workshops and a round up on CODE Programme & student support updates will be organised specifically for student officers from 10 am – 6 pm (registration starts at 9:45 am) at Jockey Club Campus of Creativity (JC3) Room 302 & 303. These workshops aim to enhance your management skills and provide valuable insights and smart tips on how to protect your society and support your fellow members effectively.

Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC): Preventing Sexual Harassment on Campus

Know Your Rights • Spot the Signs • Take Action

This essential workshop will help you:

🔹 Identify inappropriate behaviors in campus settings
🔹 Learn your legal rights and responsibilities
🔹 Discover how to respond as an organiser, a victim or a witness

Rewards Scheme

All officers, including cabinets from 2024/25 (current/ongoing) & 2025/26 (ongoing/potential) are cordially invited. Each student organisation is required to send representative(s) to attend all the four workshops and the information session. To encourage your participation, student organisations that send representatives to attend all workshops and the information session, will be eligible for the corresponding number of rewards in the upcoming academic year of 2025/26 as shown in the following table:

The types of rewards are as follows:

Advanced Venue Booking for Student ActivitiesStudent organisations can book ONE venue up to 90 calendar days in advance for ONE of their activities, subject to venue availability. This reward is applicable to venues under the management of SA only.
 
Additional Funding SubsidiesStudent organisations would be allocated for an additional 30% subsidy of the approved budget, capped at HKD1,500 on top of their entitlement when applying for one of the funding schemes managed by SA for one of their activities. The subsidy will be calculated based on either the number of attendees or the related expenses of the activity conducted by student organisations. The additional subsidy granted will not exceed the amount spent on the activity. Furthermore, it is important for student organisations to adhere to the instructions outlined in the funding schemes. They must also submit their activity reports and supporting documents in a timely manner to qualify for the grant. Application details will be announced to student organisations that have sent representatives to attend the CODE Programme.

For student organisations that are unable to send representatives to attend the workshops, they are required to submit justifications prior to the registration deadline via email. These student organisations will be given lower priority for venue bookings during August and September 2025. Additionally, they will not be permitted to set up booths during New Student Enrolment Days and Promotion Week. We highly encourage student organisations to share the knowledge gained from the workshops with their fellow members and peers.
