Skills Empowerment Scheme
The world has been changing so fast and students/graduates who adapt quickly will get absolute advantages in job searching.
The Skills Empowerment Scheme (SES) aims to encourage HKBU students to extend their knowledge base by equipping themselves with the practical skills most desired by employers and/or obtain industry/internationally-recognized certifications, thereby boosting the employability of HKBU students/graduates.
In 2020-2021, 936 students joined the SES and had their skills in different spectrums enhanced. In 2021-2022, more learning opportunities will be announced.
With rising concerns on ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) and sustainability issues, equipping yourself with a related profession is the new trend.
A 4-hour online course, Certificate ESG Foundation Course by the Matter Academy is an introductory-level course which allows you to gain a fundamental understanding of Sustainability and the ESG environment and trends. Since it is conducted online, you can learn at your own pace.
