  Student organisations are invited to apply for the BUhub Communities Fund to support your daily operation. A special funding of HK$1,000 will be awarded after fulfilling the application requirements.   Blood donation is a small act of kindness that does great and big wonders. The Blood Donation Campaign 2021 was successfully conducted on campus on 19-22 Oct with the support of around 300 staff and students.  HKBU Rowing Club New Boat Launching Ceremony The Office of Student Affairs and the Alumni Rowers' Association have long been supporting the Rowing Club. It was a great pleasure to welcome a new Empacher Rowing Boat to join the HKBU fleet. This would definitely help facilitate the club activities and team training in preparation for future competitions.  Orientation Activities for Freshmen 2021 With funding support from the Office of Student Affairs, various orientation activities were organised by student societies/clubs in Aug and Sep to welcome freshmen joining the University!
 Open Semester Event for international students An Open Semester Event for international students was organised by the International Association (IA) on 15 Oct 2021. The Chaplain’s Office and the Office of Student Affairs (SA) introduced their services, the IA exco members were introduced. SA would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to the IA exco members 2020/21 for their contribution.   The election period is from 20 Oct (10:00 a.m.) to 23 Oct 2021 (5:00 p.m.). The Senate regulates the academic affairs of the University as well as the welfare and discipline of students. It is important to have student representatives so that their views and concerns are properly addressed in the Senate. Get to know more about your candidates and cast your vote!   Final Phase Collection of Undergraduate Gown 2021-22 The final phase collection of the Undergraduate Gown (UG) for students will be held on 28-29 Oct 2021.
The UG is a tradition in the BU family. By wearing the UG, not only are students identified as University students, more importantly, students are being recognised as a part of the HKBU heritage.   Social Learning Space – Social English & Intercultural Exchange The Communication Advisor and Student Ambassadors conduct interesting workshops and activities every week in AAB Learning Commons. In Oct, we touched on movies, food, photos, taboo, idioms and slang. Come join us to make friends and have fun!   At the Happy Farm, a group of students had experienced a journey of farming life. They will be the tour guides and share their planting experience with you on 9 Nov 2021. Come and join the Happy Farm Guided Tour Day!  Self-Care Corner welcomes you! The Self-Care Corner provides a cozy environment for you to retrieve calmness. Needle Felting is one of the most popular crafts at our D.I.Y counter, which helps you release stress and regain your concentration through a bunch of wool!   ‘For Our Future’ Scholarship 2021/22 Up to 15 awards at HK$50,000 each will be offered to local students who have excellent academic performance, personal development and social services. Do apply it before 5:30pm, 3 Nov 2021.  Scholarships for students participating in international events Scholarships to support students’ participation in international competitions, conferences, performances or festivals as delegates of the University are accepting application all year round: Mr. & Mrs. Ho Ting Sik Scholarship (HK$5,000 to HK$30,000 each) (HK$5,000 to HK$10,000 each)  You Can Win - Scholarship Interview Skills Workshop I 2021-22 In scholarship interviews, crafting your personal brand and sparkling among candidates is a key to win. Our professional trainers will equip you with effective scholarship interview skills through this workshop in an interactive way. Come & join us!  Information Session and Sharing - HSBC Scholarships and InnoTech Scholarship 2022 HSBC is providing several scholarship schemes for outstanding local students in 2021/22. In this information session, representatives from HSBC and Secretariat of InnoTech Scholarship will introduce each scholarship scheme while previous awardees will share their application experience and successful tips!  Providence Foundation Bursary for Mainland Students 2021/22 Providence Foundation Bursary for Mainland Students aims to provide financial assistance to committed and financially needy Mainland students of HKBU. It is accepting applications now till 5:30pm, 12 Nov 2021.
