Information of Locker Rental Service 2025-26
  • Each eligible student can apply for ONE locker only.
  • Locker rental period: from the date that you have been successfully assigned a locker to 30 June 2026.
  • Locker rental fee: HKD50
  • Commencing date of application: 
    1 September 2025, at 00:00 (for students from undergraduate programmes); 
    8 September 2025, at 00:00 (for other eligible students)

    Students from the Higher Diploma in Creative Film Production Programme
Application Procedures
  1. Reserve your preferred locker location through the Student Locker Reservation System.
  2. Pay the locker rental fee (HKD50) within 4 working days after the reservation.
  3. Keep the payment receipt and wait for 5 working days for processing.
  4. Check your locker rental confirmation via your university email or the Student Locker Reservation System by clicking “View my record”.
  5. If you do not receive email confirmation within 5 working days after payment, you must inform the Office of Student Affairs with your payment record.
Use of Locker
  1. Once a confirmation of locker assignment is received via email, you may use the assigned locker until 30 June 2026
  2. Please bring your own padlock. Owing to security reasons, a digital padlock is not recommended.
  3. The cancellation/deletion process is irreversible, and the paid locker rental fee is non-refundable once a rented locker is deleted.

Regulations Governing the Use of Student Locker 
  1. The assigned locker is for the sole use of the student who has registered in the system and paid the corresponding rental fee for the current academic year. Shared use of the locker is prohibited. The right to use the locker is not transferable.
  2. Applicants are not allowed to use any locker other than the one assigned to them. Offenders will be considered unauthorised occupants of university facilities, and disciplinary actions may be taken.
  3. Unauthorised occupation of lockers is strictly prohibited. In case of unauthorised occupation of lockers, a penalty of HKD100 will be imposed on the occupant, and the properties inside such lockers will be disposed of by the Office of Student Affairs without prior notice, and the University will not be responsible for any loss or damage to the disposed items. Moreover, the offender will be subject to disciplinary actions by the University
  4. The lockers are the property of the University. Users are not allowed to deface the lockers or affix any stickers, publicity materials, or papers to the interior or exterior surfaces of the lockers.
  5. The storage of illegal or controlled substances, flammable materials, dangerous chemicals, explosives or weapons of any kind, animals, or perishable goods is strictly prohibited inside the lockers. Offenders may face legal consequences.
  6. Users are responsible for keeping their lockers locked at all times for the sake of safety and security. No valuables or money should be stored in the lockers. Users are fully responsible for the items stored in the lockers. The University shall not be liable for any loss or damage to properties stored in the lockers under any circumstances.
  7. Any damage to the lockers must be reported to the Office of Student Affairs as soon as possible; otherwise, the user may be held responsible for any repair or replacement costs.
  8. For security reasons, users are prohibited from cutting any padlocks, including their own. Any user who needs to cut their padlock must contact the Office of Student Affairs. A fee of HKD$20 will be applied. Please note that the University does not guarantee immediate service.
  9. Lockers must be cleared on or before the expiry date, which is 30 June of the same academic year; otherwise, the University will cut the padlocks and dispose of the items left inside the lockers after this date without prior notice. A penalty of HKD100 will be levied on the users concerned. The University shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage to properties incurred as a result.
  10. The University reserves the right to request users to relocate their lockers by serving at least 3 days of advance notification.
  11. The right to use the locker shall be forfeited in the event of a breach of any of the aforementioned regulations.

The University reserves the right to amend the above rules and regulations without prior notice.

Step 9   Please print out the acknowledge message as evidence of payment

 

(2) Make the Payment with PPS

Step 1   Please dial '18031' by phone or login PPS website (http://www.ppshk.com) for bill payment.
Step 2   Follow the instructions to key in the payment amount: HKD 50. Key in the bill/account number which is your student ID number followed by a specified code 201. e.g.: if your student number is “12345678”, you should key in the bill/account number as “12345678201”             
Step 3   Write down the payment reference number for future reference

* If this is your first time to use the PPS, you should first bring along your ATM or credit card and find a PPS terminal to open a PPS account, also, to set up the phone and internet password. Please visit the following links to view the PPS Registration Terminal location: http://www.ppshk.com/hkt/prt/Web/en/;
You may also use the PPS Registration Terminal which is located at Level 1, Academic and Administration Building (in front of Security Control Room), Baptist University Road Campus.

 

(3) Make the Payment at an ATM Station labeled with “BillPayment Service” or “JET Payment” 

Step 1   Insert your card into ATM machine and enter personalidentity number (PIN)
              (note: select transaction account to be debited if necessary)
Step 2   Choose “Bill Payment” ⇨ “Education” ⇨ “HK Baptist University”
Step 3   Select the Bill Type, "03" for locker rental payment.
                i. for Bill Payment Service, please select “03LOCKER RENTAL”
                ii. for JET Payment, please key in “03” and “enter”
Step 4   Key in the bill/account number (or Bill Payee Account number for HSBC) which is your student ID number followed by a specified code “201”.e.g.: if your student number is “12345678”, you should key in the bill/account number as “12345678201”
Step 5   Enter the required payment amount: HKD 50
Step 6   When the confirmation screen appears, make sure all the information is correct, please choose “yes” or “enter” to confirm
Step 7   Keep the payment receipt (i.e. the “ATM Customer Advice” produced by the ATM machine)

 

(4) Make the Payment with Flywire (For payment to be made outside Hong Kong only)

Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) accepts cross-border payments through Flywire. Please click the link to make payment via Flywire: http://hkbu.flywire.com.

• Please Key in the bill/account number (or Bill Payee Account number for HSBC) which is your student ID number followed by a specified code “201. e.g.: if your student number is “12345678”, you should key in the bill/account number as “12345678201”

• Although HKBU and Flywire do not charge a fee for this service, payers are reminded to note the cost differences in their local currency under different payment options before confirming a payment.

FAQ


Can I change my locker?
Special requests for locker changes will only be accommodated for students with medical needs. However, any student may rent a different locker by terminating their current locker rental and paying the rental fee again for the new locker.

What should I do if I lost my locker key?
Please contact our office for verification first. After that, please settle the payment of HKD20. Once payment is confirmed, we will inform security to cut the lock.

What should I do if my locker is damaged?
Please report the issue immediately to the Office of Student Affairs.

What should I do if I find my locker is being locked by others?
Please double-check your locker number. If it is correct, report the matter immediately to the Office of Student Affairs.

After settling the payment, do I need to submit the payment slip?

No. Please keep the payment slip with you. If you do not receive email confirmation within 5 working days, you must inform the Office of Student Affairs and provide your payment record.

Should I return the locker earlier if I am going to terminate my study?
(1) In the case of temporary suspension of studies, you may continue to use the assigned locker until the end of the rental period.
(2) In the case of withdrawal from studies, you must vacate and unlock your locker and cancel your application in the locker system. If any items are left inside the locker after termination of use, the Office will force open the locker(s) and dispose of the items without prior notice.
