Invitation to SanaPlay - Little Doctors in Training (ages 4-8)
Invitation to SanaPlay - Little Doctors in Training (ages 4-8)
We are inviting children ages 4 to 8 to SanaPlay: Little Doctors in Training, an interactive workshop that helps young learners understand what happens at the doctor through stories, toys, and play.
SanaPlay is a student-led initiative from the House of the Scholars, approved by the Leadership Qualities Centre, Office of Student Affairs.
Through an original story created by the team, “Sana’s Little Heart,” and hands on medical play using toys, crafts, and games, children will learn simple medical words and ideas, what common procedures and equipment do and why they are used, how to tell healthcare providers how they feel, and ways to feel calm and confident during medical visits.
This matters because it builds early awareness of health and wellbeing, eases anxiety around appointments, supports clear communication among children, families, and clinicians, and can contribute to better health outcomes.
Drawing on our studies in Social Work, Science, and the Arts, our student team offers an engaging, child-friendly session that helps kids tune in to their bodies and feelings, both mentally and physically, and take age-appropriate agency over their health.
