| Introduction | This Mentorship Programme (“the Programme”) is organized by the Environment and Ecology Bureau (Environment Branch) (EEB(EB)) and Environmental Protection Department (EPD) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government. It aims to provide university students with the opportunities to meet our expertise so as to enhance their educational, social and personal growth through guidance and supports from their mentors. |
Objectives |

| Eligibility | Local students in undergraduate/postgraduate degree programmes in the academic year 2025-2026, preferably with engineering and/or environmental science background, are eligible to apply. |
| Our Mentors | Mentors are environmental professionals in the EEB(EB) / EPD, with expertise in the environmental discipline, such as waste management, air quality, water quality, noise, and environmental impact assessment etc. |
| Mentorship & Activities | The Programme will last for about 12 months during the academic year 2025-2026. During the mentorship period, both mentors and mentees are encouraged to meet in a quarterly basis as mutually agreed. An opening and closing meeting will be arranged to kick start and wrap up the Programme respectively. Also, participants will also be invited to partake in our upcoming outreach and public engagement activities. |
| Application Procedure | Students who would like to join the Programme should submit the completed application form by email or by post on or before the deadline on 4 July 2025 (Friday):
(1) The application form is available at https://www.epd.gov.hk/epd/english/business_job/job_opp/jobopp_maincont.html (2) The application form should be completed electronically as far as possible. Each application form should be submitted in a single pdf file as an email attachment to enquiry@epd.gov.hk (Please state with the subject: “EEB(EB) /EPD Mentorship Programme 2025”)
(3) Mailing Address: Knowledge Management Unit, Environmental Protection Department Rm 2215, 22/F., Tower 2, Grand Central Plaza, 138 Shatin Rural Committee Road, Shatin, N.T.
(Please state on the envelope “EEB(EB) /EPD Mentorship Programme 2025”. The date of application by post will be determined according to the postmark date stamped by the Hongkong Post on the envelope.) |
| Announcement | (i) Applications with incomplete or unclear information will not be considered.
(ii) Successful applicants will be notified by us via email by August 2025. Applicants who do not receive any email notification by mid-August 2025 may consider their applications unsuccessful. (iii) Selected applicants and mentors will be invited to attend the opening meeting tentatively to be held on 20 August 2025 (Wednesday) PM. |
