  • To cultivate appreciation for Chinese culture and the impact of the "Belt and Road" initiative.
  • To gain insights into poverty alleviation by visiting related projects.
  • To engage students in volunteer service, cultivating empathy and a sense of social responsibility.

Eligibility
 

1) Aged between 18 and 24 (must be 18 years old on the departure date) 

2) (i) Hold a valid Hong Kong permanent resident identity card, or (ii) Hold a valid Hong Kong resident identity card and be enrolled in a full-time programme in Hong Kong. 

3) Each participant may join no more than two mainland exchange programmes under *this funding scheme during the current year (2024-2025), regardless of whether they are organised by the same group. 

(*This funding scheme refers to the " Funding Scheme for Youth Exchange in the Mainland " organised by the Youth Development Commission for the current year, 2024-2025.)

Screening Interview

  • Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a screening interview.
 


Fees
 

HK$5,000/person or

HK$500/person^ (^the latter applies only to eligible applicants for the "Subsidy to Grassroots Youth for Participating in Exchange Activities Outside Hong Kong 基層青年境外交流資助試⾏計劃") 

+ $2,000 refundable deposit upon full-attendance of all the trainings, services, and post-trip activity with satisfactory performance.

Costs includes transportation, accommodation, meals, insurance, and various activities

Successful applicants will be notified shortly after the screening interview.

To indicate the acceptance of offer, the programme fee has be to settled before the given deadline. All fee paid are non-refundable.
