EYGD stands for Endowment for Youth Global Development. EYGD was established by Youth Global Network in 2011 to serve as a fund to empower youth to become ‘glocal’ citizens.

The Glocal Youth Service Expedition 2025: Hong Kong to Ghana is now open for applications. This program aims to equip participants with the skills to lead with empathy and a global outlook, making a positive difference in our communities and beyond. It includes service trips to Ghana, local services in Hong Kong, seminars, and workshop.

Program Content

Service Trip to Ghana

  • 14-Day Summer service trip to Ghana: 3 – 16 July, 2025 

 

Seminars & workshop on Compassionate Justice

  • Orientation: Service Preparation, Visa Application, and Health and Safety in Ghana
  • Seminar: Introduction to Ghana
  • Seminar: We love Hong Kong – Team Presentation Preparation
  • Seminar: We love Africa: Sino-African Relationships and Education in Ghana
  • Workshop: Final Check and Team Time before Departure
  • Self-reflection and Team Debriefing in Hong Kong
  • Team Presentation and Closing Ceremony

Fee

HKD 13,000* (Subsidized by Government Youth Exchange Fund & EYGD)

 

HKD 18,000* (Subsidized by EYGD only)

  • Program fee covers all overseas trip expenses, e.g. air tickets, transportation, accommodations, travel insurance, visa, yellow fever vaccination and food.
  • *The program will commence in mid-May, with the fee confirmed before launch.

Award & Certificate

Participants with 100% attendance will receive a certificate of accomplishment.
