The HKFYG Leadership Institute is inviting nominations for the Global Conference Scholarship under the GreenTech Youth Learning Lab, a leadership initiative supported by Hang Seng Bank (HASE).

This scholarship is a high-impact leadership initiative designed to empower 10 Hong Kong youth to engage with international green innovation, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable food systems conferences. More than a simple travel subsidy, this capacity-building programme focuses on the intersection of digital technology and nature-positive solutions.

The Opportunity

The HKFYG Leadership Institute seeks to award 8 exceptional undergraduates (aged 18–30) the chance to explore global green innovation.

 

Financial Support

The scholarship is a fixed, one-off capped grant. As the conference registration fees is covered, students do not need to pay any registration costs from their grant or out-of-pocket

Eligibility

資格

  1. Applicants must be Hong Kong permanent residents aged 18-30, currently enrolled as full-time students in secondary or post-secondary institutions. 
  2. Proven record of leadership, initiative, or community engagement. 
  3. Clear understanding of how digital innovation can support nature-positive outcomes. 
  4. Ability to independently represent the scholarship in international settings. 
  5. A more developed and practical post-conference action plan. 

Key Requirements:

High English proficiency, a strong interest in "nature-tech," and a commitment to community action. 

Minor Policy:

Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian at their own expense. Failure to secure a guardian will result in disqualification from the scholarship, regardless of selection status. Please note that conference access is strictly reserved for the recipient.
