  3. items of any side longer than 60cm
  4. perishable food e.g. frozen food
  5. any items that hinder the operation of the ACCM General Office

Please note that items uncollected for 5 working days will be returned to sender accordingly. Public hygiene is always our first and foremost concern in the Village CARE. We have a professional and helpful Cleaning Team to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene every day.

General cleaning is carried out in all communal areas daily while washrooms of student bedrooms cleaned once a week. Pest control for communal areas and student bedrooms will also be conducted on a regular and need basis. If there are any questions relating to cleaning, please report to us through the Student Residence Online System [Student Residence Online System > Defect].

Residents' Responsibilities
Residents are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of their rooms. It is expected that residents dispose of any rubbish collected in their unit/apartment into the large bin located in the Co-living Space (also known as the Activity Room). Cleaners will then collect the rubbish from there.

Please remember not to place any leftover food in your rooms, units/apartments, or any communal areas such as the Co-living Spaces, as this can cause significant hygiene issues.

Students’ safety and security is of our utmost concern in the Village CARE. Security service is provided in the hostel premises round the clock. The two Security Counters are located at the 3/F hostel entrances. For urgent matters after office hours, please contact the Security Counter at:

(852) 3411 1232         [Colleges 1 and 3]

If residents have no access to both their physical and electronic Student Cards and need to access their room, they can seek assistance at the Security Counter of Colleges 1 and 3.  Please note that a door opening fee of $20 by cash will be charged for each request.

Residents' Responsibilities

Residents who invite visitors to the Village CARE must register IN PERSON with the visitors at the 3/F Security Counter and accompany them during their stay in the Village CARE. Residents shall not invite visitors to the Village CARE outside the visitation hours between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m.

Valuable items and personal belongings such as cash, passport and important documents should be securely locked up. Room doors should be closed when nobody is in the room.

Residents who identify any defects in the bedrooms or communal areas should report them through the Student Residence Online System [Student Residence Online System > Defect]. The Estates Office will address and repair these defects according to the level of urgency.

Regular maintenance is routinely carried out to maintain the condition of the premises. As defect rectifications may involve student rooms or communal areas, staff from the Student Accommodation Section or Estates Office may occasionally visit the floors or rooms, with contractors being accompanied by security or staff. Please also be aware that improvement works are typically scheduled during the Winter Break and Summer to minimize disturbance to residents.
