Hostel places are available to accommodate Summer Programmes organised by HKBU Departments/Offices during June to July every year.

In any cases, children under the age of 12 will NOT be admitted. Programme leader of the short-stay group is required to submit an indemnity for guests under the age of 16.

In-Room Amenities (Twin-bed Room)
  • Two beds of 90 cm wide and 190 cm long with mattress, linens and beddings
  • Two desks
  • Overhead storage space for each bed
  • Two full-height wardrobes
  • Two mini refrigerator
  • A shared restrooms and shower facilities

 

Co-living Space
  • Tables and chairs
  • TV and free air-conditioning (turn it off when not in use, be environmental friendly)
  • A pantry equipped with an electric oven, a water dispenser (hot and cold water), a washing sink, and two refrigerators

     

    Dining Facilities

    On campus, there are various catering outlets offering a wide range of local delicacies, Asian cuisines, Western food, Halal food, coffee, pastries and vegetarian food, where you can enjoy with your friends at a reasonable price. For details, please refer to here. The two closest locations are BU Fiesta and Main Canteen. The location details are as follows:

    BU Fiesta: Ground Floor, Undergraduate Halls

    Main Canteen: Level 5, Academic and Administration Building

    In-room Air-Conditioning#

    Air conditioning charge is $1.4 per kWh.
     

    Laundry Facilities#
    • HK$5.4 per washing cycle
    • HK$2 per 10 mins drying

     

    #Residents should pay for the In-room utilities on a user-pay principle.  In-room utilities includes air conditioning, water heater and power socket.  Lights and water are provide without charge.  The utility fee is $1.4 per kWh. Octopus Card is used for charging up in-room utilities for summer letting groups. Programme participants can reload their Octopus Card at On-campus Venues for Reloading Octopus Card.

    Interested parties should provide program details such as name of organizer, purpose of the program, number of participants, period of stay and program rundown to the Student Accommodation Section for consideration. Eligible organizers will be provided application details and procedures.
