[Cultural Ambassador Programme] Diwali Night 2022

An event to celebrate Diwali was organised by the Indian Cultural Ambassador, Kartikay, on 28 Nov 2022, supported by the Office of Student Affairs and the Global Engagement Squad (GES) funding. Kartikay introduced the history and cultural significance of Diwali to participants. Diwali is one of the major religious festivals in Hinduism, Jainism, and Sikhism; normally, it lasts for five days, from the 13th day of the dark half of the lunar month Ashvina to the second day of the light half of the lunar month Karttika. Diwali is India's biggest and most important holiday. Over the centuries, Diwali has become a national festival that's also enjoyed by all communities in India.
