With the financial support from the HKBU Alumni Gratitude Grant (AGG), I have completed the training with two fitness instructors. Each of them had something unique to contribute to my fitness training and with their assistance, I have achieved fantastic outcomes.

One of the fitness instructors was my movement specialist. He is skilled in explaining the elements of different exercises and delivering clear advice on how to improve the execution. I mentioned to him that my second fitness instructor changed my outfit a lot with details and thus, he constantly adjusted my form to slightly improve some of the lifts. This practice made me get in a position to build up my strength and at the same time inhibit any possibility of an incident.

My second fitness instructor is a vegan bodybuilder who accompanied me as a nutrition and movement specialist. He was very concerned with the ways to assist me in losing some weight by providing me with proper eating diets and the right ways on how to exercise. I had discussions with him to devise a diet plan that ensured I could have balanced meals with the correct nutrients to sustain a power lifter’s energy for the arduous training. The fitness instructor also invested a lot of time in ensuring that I performed all exercises in the correct manner pertaining to form and mechanics. I would like to convey special thanks to him regarding the assistance he provided me in the dietary plan changes along with the necessary exercises.

I am grateful to gain fitness knowledge from classes of both fitness instructors in the past year, I could not have done this without the help of the HKBU AGG. This grant has enabled me to be trained by these outstanding trainers and to be more confident with myself, and it has been a great turnaround.
