As a recipient of the HKBU Alumni Gratitude Grant, I am grateful for the opportunity to pursue my interest in learning the guitar. This grant has provided me with the necessary financial support and enabled me to achieve significant learning outcomes and personal growth.

Through the private guitar classes funded by the grant, I have explored and developed my passion for playing the guitar. My objectives of learning guitar theory and skills have been met, and I have experienced a sense of self-enhancement as I have progressed in my musical journey. The classes have allowed me to consolidate my guitar knowledge and enhance my mental well-being to face the challenges of end-stage renal failure.

The private guitar classes have achieved my expectations. The personalized instruction has enabled me to learn at my own pace and address any areas of difficulty. The classes have provided a much-needed outlet for relaxation and stress relief amidst the high tension of my studies. Although I may not be playing the guitar particularly well, the classes have been fruitful and motivated me to continue practicing.

One of this experience's most valuable outcomes has been its impact on my mental well-being. The grant has allowed me to engage in an activity that has prevented me from becoming pessimistic about my chronic illness. Instead, it has given me a sense of purpose and a means of self-expression, which has been instrumental in maintaining a positive outlook on life.

The impact of the grant on my life is immeasurable. The financial support has enabled me to focus on learning and improving my guitar skills without the added burden of financial constraints. I am grateful for the opportunity to utilize the grant in a way that has enriched my life and contributed to my overall well-being.
