Introduction:

The Programme aims to help students to gain knowledge and skills of equality, disability & inclusivity in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN). This Briefing Session cum Experiential Workshop on Deaf Awareness provides an introduction to the Programme and SEN services in the University. Participants will also learn about the uniqueness of the Deaf community and communication strategies with Deaf individuals through an experiential workshop.

Remarks:

• The Session is fully funded by the UGC-SEN Special Grants. All HKBU students studying in full-time, UGC-funded programmes are welcome.
• Quotas will be first given to the HKBU full-time students of UGC-funded programmes.
• Successful applicants will receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link on or before 10 October 2022, Monday.
• Participants will be admitted to the Inclusion Student Ambassador Programme 2022-23 simultaneously. Please contact us on or before 14 Oct 2022 if you wish to withdraw from the Programme.
• For eligible students who cannot attend the Briefing Session but wish to become an Inclusion Student Ambassador for AY2022/23, please email to ussen@hkbu.edu.hk by 14 Oct 2022.
