Application for Research Postgraduate Housing 2025-26 (Village CARE)
(Application Period: 11 March – 20 June 2025)

 

Full-time UGC-funded Research Postgraduate students are now invited to submit their Student Residence application for the residential year 2025-26 covering the period below:

 

Residential Period:

22 August 2025 to 22 July 2026, both nights inclusive.

 

Student Residence Application

The online hostel application system (https://iss.hkbu.edu.hk/himsApp/external/login) opens on 11 Mar 2025, 12:00 (HKT) and the application period will end on 20 June 2025, 23:59 (HKT). Please make sure you have gone through all the information during the process of submitting your application.

Requirements for Residential Colleges:

  1. Residents are required to attend at least one High Table Dinner each semester.
  2. Each College will organize activities aligned with its theme, and residents are required to participate.
  3. Residents’ involvement, performance and attendance in College activities will be taken into consideration and affect their applications as returning students to the Student Residence in the future.

Upon completion of their living-learning experiences at Village CARE, students will:

  • Demonstrate intrapersonal awareness, personal wellness & interpersonal lifestyle indicative of whole person development;
  • Actively pursue academic learning, both in-depth and breadth, showing a capacity for independent lifelong learning;
  • Actively and responsibly engage in the community – from Village CARE to the community, both local and global;
  • Solve problems creatively and with critical thinking; and
  • Be effective leaders and members in transdisciplinary and culturally diversified teams.
