With the great engagement and feedback in the previous years, it is the fourth time Career Centre launches Esports Talents Development Programme (ETDP) which aims to provide great insights of the eSports ecosystem to HKBU students who are keen to develop your career in the eSports industry.
Besides in-depth career experience sharing by industry professionals and diversified eSports trainings, students will have firsthand experience in the real-world eSports businesses, and an opportunity to join our exclusive eSports local tour to explore the local eSports organizations and competition venues. To nurture eSports talents, we collaborate with industry professionals and provide diversified skills training sessions to students. Training consists of 2 parts: the introduction session and trainings in different work streams. Students are required to attend the Introduction Workshop (Part I) and at least ONE Work Stream Workshop (Part II) according to your interest(s).
All sessions will be conducted in CANTONESE, supplemented with English materials.

This career experience sharing offers great insights of the eSports ecosystem to HKBU students from different perspectives including the industry landscape, market trends and career opportunities like players, event management, marketing and casters. This sharing aims to inspire your eSports potentials and deepen your understanding of eSports.

eSports Academy aims to nurture eSports talents by providing diversified trainings to students in three important streams (Each participant can join one stream only):
- Event and competition management;
(28/12 - 31/12, 10:30am - 12:30pm)
- Marketing and sponsorship; and
(28/12 - 31/12, 2:00pm - 4:00pm)
- eSports Caster and Commentator.

Successful applicants are required to submit $800 refundable deposits. They are entitled to obtain a certificate of completion and a refund when they have completed all the workshops.

This session is only for the participants in Esports Academy. Students will be assigned to a 15 mins individual meeting with the Esports Consultant (via zoom). The best way to gain advice on how to prepare yourself in the eSports industry.

After learning so much about the eSports career, it is time to partcipate in and face the challenges from the real-world eSports business. With the skills and knowledge acquired from eSports Academy, you will be placed in one of the local eSports companies for a practicum which lasts for at least 20 hours. Grasp this opportunity to unfold your talent and skills!

It is an exclusive opportunity to visit the local eSports organizations, training and competition venues together with eSports professionals. They will introduce the overall operation and share the experience in running the eSports businesses. What's better than exploring the local eSports industry by yourself?
