Student Organisations
There are various types of student organisations in HKBU. The Students’ Union (HKBUSU) is a student organisation for undergraduate students; the Postgraduate Association, HKBUPA, which serves all postgraduate students; Academic Societies which made up by the students in the same Faculty/School/Major; Hall Councils are for students who enrolled to the four undergraduate halls; Interest Clubs those focus on types of sports, providing services, enhancing social affairs engagement and other specialties; and International Association serves as a platform to facilitate communication between international, local students and the University.
The University encourages every student to engage in activities initiated by student organisations. However, joining any such organisations is entirely voluntary. Becoming a member of a student organisation may involve payment of a membership fee. Students may participate in activities organised by these organisations accordingly to their interests:
Students’ Union
The Hong Kong Baptist University Students’ Union (HKBUSU), registers under the Societies Ordinance (Cap 151), is a student organisation at the University. It aims to promote activities in the best interests of all students and the University, to coordinate various student organisations, and to cooperate with the University administration for the common good of the University community. Full-time undergraduate students who pay the annual membership fee may join the HKBUSU as members.
There are four central bodies to handle different aspects of work within the Students' Union: the Executive Committee manages administration tasks and organises activities for students; the Council serves as the policy-making and oversight body; the Editorial Board functions as the press of the Union and may disseminating campus news and magazines to the students; and the Judicial Council is tasked with addressing complaints and facilitating dispute resolution within the Union.

Hong Kong Baptist University Postgraduate Association
The HKBUPA aims to promote the welfare and communication of all postgraduate students, and to establish academic and social links between the postgraduate students and other persons and organisations within and without the University.

Academic Societies
Academic societies are composed of students studying the same course/ major. They seek to cultivate a professional attitude amongst members through co-curricular and extra-curricular studies and projects.
