The Road to Diversity Workshop 2024

13 September 2024

The Road to Diversity Workshop 2024 was organised specifically for ethnic minority students at HKBU, aiming to foster an inclusive environment by exploring the significance of diversity and inclusion within the university community. Participants engaged in interactive discussions and activities that highlighted various cultural perspectives and experiences.

Information sessions were delivered by Campus Life & Amenities Unit, Office of Student Affairs, the International Association, and three NGOs: the Centre for Harmony and Enhancement of Ethnic Minority Residents (CHEER), Hong Kong Christian Service, and The Zubin Foundation. These sessions shared valuable resources and opportunities available for ethnic minority students.

Through collaborative exercises, participants developed skills to enhance cross-cultural communication and understanding, contributing to a more harmonious and inclusive campus atmosphere.

Overall, the workshop was a meaningful step toward building a diverse and welcoming community, with plans for future initiatives to continue this important dialogue.
