Generative AI for Healthcare and Beyond

The Faculty of Science and Alumni Affairs Office proudly present this talk series that highlights the significant contributions our pre-eminent faculty members, professors and alumni have made in their remarkable journey of knowledge discovery. Through this faculty-students-alumni engagement initiative, we hope to shine light on the achievements of our faculty members, nurture future-shaping students and engage alumni who bring transformative impact to society.

The recent development of AI has opened up new opportunities in different fields, ranging from creative industry to healthcare sector. The talk will provide a gentle introduction to Generative AI (GenAI) and cover some of the recent work on developing GenAI solutions for healthcare, e.g., predictive analytics on EHR, X-ray report generation, etc. The talk will then be followed by a panel discussion on the future trend of GenAI where the panelists include two alumni who are taking leading positions in AI solution provider and AI deployment in the industry.
