Please contact the Head or the Access Right Coordinator of your Department/Office/Unit for the assignment of the access right and/or the Co-curricular Activity role to you. Please visit the front page of the Student Learning Experience System (SLES) and click the link of Access Right Coordinator Inquiry (Staff) for the list of Access Right Coordinators of your Department/Office/Unit.

Since the SLES contains personal data of the students, it is normal if the Head wants to limit the access right to certain colleagues. In this case, you may ask the colleagues of your Department/Office/Unit to assist in the entry of CCL application.

It usually takes 1 week to process a CCL application.

In order to allow enough time for consideration and communication, if necessary, and promotion by the event organiser, you are advised to submit the CCL application at least 3 weeks before the event/activity/programme.

Yes, you can cancel your application before its approval in the Student Learning Experience System (SLES) by clicking the Delete button in the Action column.

For application that is approved, request for cancellation can be submitted in the SLES by clicking the Cancel button in the Action column for CCL Approver's further processing.

Yes. Please visit the Download Area to find the standard evaluation form.

The questionnaire is for measuring the effectiveness of the CCL event and the learning result of the students. You may refer to the evaluation to review your events/programmes. You are welcome to provide the processed evaluation data to ccl@hkbu.edu.hk after the event.

CCL-recognised events will appear on the CCL website and the student view of the Student Learning Experience System (SLES) by default. No other promotion will be done by the CCL Team.

Event organisers may consider to use the mass email service and eAnnouncement service offered by ITO, and/or the HKBU Event Calendar/ Today@HKBU managed by CPRO for e-channel promotion.

CCL recognised seminars, workshops and campus events are usually required to be held in a closed area on-campus. Off-campus seminars, workshops and U-wide events may be considered as CCL on an exceptional basis, provided that there is staff presence throughout the event and student attendance is strictly monitored.

As for experiential learning activities, which are usually off-campus in nature, there is no concern of their venue.

No. In such case, the seminar is not organised by a University department/office/unit. Therefore, it is not eligible for CCL recognition.

As a CCL event must be a non-course and non-academic requirement, there are 2 ways to fit the guest lecture to the CCL criterion:

Either: Make the talk open to all HKBU students and exclude the registered students in your course for CCL attendance;
Or: Make the talk open to all HKBU students and a non-course requirement to the registered students in your course.
