Common Tips for CCL application

  • Venue: For online talks/workshops: Online via Zoom, Online via Microsoft Teams.

Online trainings (e.g. eCourse): put URL or just “HKBU Moodle”.

  • Country/Region of the Venue: The region of the event, but not where the speaker come from (i.e. Country/Region of the Organisation of the Speaker)

    • Choose “Internet” for online trainings
    • Choose “Hong Kong” and “Internet” for online talks/workshops

  • Application initiated by student organisation: A department must take over the activity as the main organiser. The department shall shoulder the responsibility of taking attendance, application, activity administration and activity evaluation. Staff presence in the activity is required.

  • Only 1 CCL unit is recognized for 2 consecutive sessions of activities.

    • 1 session of activities is recognized as CCL while the other session(s) should be input as non-CCL activity.

    • If recognising the earlier session as CCL bearing activity, students will get 1 CCL unit for attending the first part of the event.  Some students may skip the later sessions.
In this case, the earlier session will be shown on CCL website.

    • If recognising the later session as CCL bearing activity, the earlier session of the activities can be considered as the pre-requisite for the later session. Students need to attend both sessions in order to gain 1 CCL unit.  In this case, the later session will be shown on CCL website.

    • Please note that each session must be 1 hour or more.

  • Quota is the number of students can register the activity, once exceed, the students will be put on the waiting list.

  • Expected No. of students is just for CCL Approver’s understanding about the size of the activity only.

  • A CCL activity MUST be open to all BU students. It cannot be restricted to particular group of students.
