一呼一吸之間,藏著幾多想法與情緒?
此工作坊將由流行歌詞文本出發,結合靜觀及聲樂訓練的元素,讓參加者透過學習唱歌技巧及呼吸練習察覺自己的情緒及感受,重拾內在力量(self-empowerment)。

Adopting lyrics from pop songs, this workshop combines vocal training with mindfulness practices. Participants will not only learn singing techniques but also practice breathing exercises to reconnect with their emotions, feelings and inner strength (self-empowerment).

          28 Feb 2024 (Wed) (on English songs)

Time: 3:30pm - 5pm
Venue: G9, Undergraduate Halls 
Quota: 20
(first-come-first-served, open to all UGC-funded degree seeking undergraduate students, with priority for UGH / NTT residents)

Refundable Deposit: HK$100 (fully refund upon completion of the activity and post-activity survey)
** Students can enrol in either one or both sessions **

Note:
Applicants will receive an email containing payment details to complete the application procedure. Only applicants made the payment on time and receive the confirmation from Leadership Qualities Centre would be considered as successful enrollment.
-Upon completion of the activity and the post-activity survey, participants will be awarded a CCL unit and a refund of $100.
-Participants who join both sessions (21 & 28 Feb 2024) will earn 2 CCL units and receive the refund of $100 at the last session, i.e. 28 Feb 2024.



About the instructor: Cindy Chan
Cindy, a HKBU graduate, is a dedicated yogi and aromatherapist who uses Ayurvedic and natural approaches to help others achieve holistic wellness. After first-handedly benefitted mentally and physically from yoga, she pursued her career as a yoga instructor. Her teaching emphasises the use of breathwork, mediation and mindfulness techniques along with importance of alignment in the body and mind. She believes the body is a reflection of the mind and it is equally important for both the body and mind to be in harmony. Apart from Yoga Alliance 200-hour yoga teacher training, she was also trained in Children's Yoga, Yoga Therapy & Ayurveda, Himalayan singing bowl and Usha Veda Aromatherapy.

Cindy 於香港浸會大學畢業,是一位瑜伽教練及芳療師,Cindy 主要使用阿育吠陀療法(Ayurveda)及順應自然的方式去協助他人保持整全健康。在親身感受到瑜伽所帶來的身心益處之後,她決定從事瑜伽教練的事業。她的課堂包括呼吸、冥想及靜觀等元素,並著重身心的平衡。她相信身體是心靈的一面鏡,而身與心同樣地需要和諧及健康。她的專業資格包括美國瑜伽聯盟認證瑜伽導師 200 小時課程、兒童瑜伽導師培訓 、瑜伽治療及阿育吠陀療法導師培訓、喜瑪拉雅頌缽療法及 Usha Veda 瑞士芳療。

About the instructor: Penelope Tang
Penelope graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Visual Arts. In 2017, she was awarded a Summer Musical Camp Scholarship by Goldsmiths, University of London for a short-term musical theatre training.

Penelope started her music career as a demo singer and a backing chorus member. She has been involved in various alternative theatrical performances as a vocalist; examples include 100% Hong Kong (2021) by the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority & Rimini Protokoll as well as The Story of Yim Tin Tsai – Environmental Theatre (2019) organised by Yim Tin Festival. She is also an active vocalist at different live houses and jazz bars in recent years.

鄧卓敏 畢業於香港浸會大學視覺藝術系。2017年獲獎學金赴倫敦大學金匠學院接受短期音樂劇訓練。近年以歌者身份參與不同劇場作品,如德國社會劇場 RP 紀錄劇團和西九文化區自由空間合辦《100%香港》(2021)、《鹽田梓藝術節 - 細說鹽田梓—環境劇場》(2019)等等。
