HKBU Skilled Volunteer Cadre is a holistic programme for nurturing students into servant leaders. Through the programme, students will be able to learn different core skills in order to deliver innovative service. By addressing the needs of the community, it is hoped that students will develop empathetic minds with keen concern to the society. 

Objectives

  • To equip students with essential skills for serving the community
  • To nurture students with caring spirits and civic responsibility
  • To encourage students to contribute to the society continuously using the skills learnt

Recognition

  • Two CCL units will be earned upon 80% attendance of all the trainings and full-attendance of the services^

Remarks:
* Owing to language constraints of the service recipients, students must be able to comprehend Cantonese in some of the Cadres. 
# Refundable upon full-attendance of all the trainings and services with satisfactory performance. For '
Japanese Nagomi Pastel Art Christmas Cards for the Children", the refundable deposit is HK$2,000. For "Preserved Flower Carfts for Inclusion", the deposit amount is HK$100 per session.
^  Maximum two CCL units will be earned if participating in more than one programme.
