LAM Yuk Cho Adrian, Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Green Energy and Smart Technology
This scholarship will fuel my pursuit of academic and professional excellence. I will allocate funds to the GCE internship program, covering living expenses during the placement and enabling enrollment in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) courses and CFA-certified financial training. These investments will sharpen my technical expertise while alleviating university tuition costs, freeing me to fully engage in my studies and future career with clarity and purpose.
Earning a place in the competitive GCE internship program was a testament to my commitment to strategic discipline and adaptability. Yet, the path to this milestone revealed deeper lessons in resilience. Preparing for this scholarship forced me to confront personal challenges directly scrutinized vulnerabilities head-on, prompting me to develop tailored strategies—such as structured time-management and mindfulness practices—that transformed limitations into strengths. This journey cemented my belief in a dynamic mindset, where setbacks are reframed as opportunities for innovation, ensuring I thrive under pressure without sacrificing well-being.
This experience has reshaped my academic path and long-term vision. Leading projects at AIESEC, mentoring peers, and delving into interdisciplinary fields like sustainable finance have taught me to embrace challenges as catalysts for growth. Central to this journey has been the power of community—mentors who uplifted me, peers who sharpened my perspective, and educators who saw my potential. Inspired by this, I’m driven to foster inclusive spaces where diverse thinkers can flourish. By integrating an attitude of resilience with purpose, I’ve learned that true success lies in pursuing growth over perfection and nurturing connections that sustain both ambition and humanity.
Through this scholarship, I aim to spread the message that anyone, regardless of their shortcomings, can find their own calling; in other words “their passion”. I also want to prove that diverse perspectives and inclusivity will drive progress and an environment where everyone is given opportunities.
