NG Hing Tak, Bachelor of Science (Hons.)

Medical Intervention

“During the treatment, the psychologist and psychiatrist explained to me the symptoms of my situation and taught me how to cope with such symptoms and how to maintain the interpersonal relationship. With the help of the professionals, I have greatly improved my social skills and communication skills, which I could utilize to make a couple new friends. And my procrastination and concentration problems have also improved as well. I am able to focus on the study and achieve better academic results.

The funding can reduce the financial burden on my parents. I had made use of the skills that I learnt during the treatment to perform better while I communicate with others. And I had done well while participating in group projects and got good grades. All of these improvements have been helpful to my university life.”

WU Wan Hei, Bachelor of Science (Hons.)

Medical Intervention

“Before this support, the costs of frequent medical visits were depleting my savings, causing me to make cutbacks on essentials. I often missed lectures or struggled to focus due to untreated symptoms, resulting in poor sleep and anxiety about falling behind. These challenges impacted on my academic performance, causing lower grades and a sense of isolation from my peers.

There were times when I contemplated skipping doctor visits and medications, although I knew it would harm my health. The financial assistance lessened my financial burdens, enabling me to focus on both my well-being and academic accomplishments. With reduced stress, I could concentrate better in class, complete assignments on time and improve my academic performance.”

Medical Intervention and Assistive Learning Device

“I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the AGG funding for supporting me in acquiring tools that directly support my daily functioning and academic life. Everything acquired met—and in many ways exceeded—my expectations. I recognize that building strong habits around these tools is an ongoing journey, and I am committed to refining how I integrate them into my study patterns.

Looking back, I believe I made thoughtful choices that specifically target my academic challenges. I’m proud of how I’ve identified my needs and created a structure that enables growth, focus, and safety. Once again, I am deeply grateful for this opportunity. Your support has made a meaningful difference in both my academic performance and my well-being.”
